    I've just OC'd my first computer(yeah....I Know Newbie),no dumb
questions(LOL).Just had to pair up a very overclockable card with
    processor.

Got to 2.6 on stock cooling, stable so far with several loops of 3d mark and aqua mark. Will have to run prime tomorrow.

Is'nt the world great!!!!!   :cool

    A GTO2 huh? :)

Beat my score and I'll give you a cookie.

Since we have the same CPU/GPU I'd challenge you to 01 as well, but my Venice is a POS so I'm not gonna. :p

you dont need challenge him,we know that you are a great overclocking guru and we are proud of people like you :).
just one thing,i have seen that you use same cpu like mine, could you run thiis software and tell me your cpu max tcase?
    http://www.thecoolest.zerobrains.com/Hidden_Stuff/A64MaxTemp.zip
my max tcase is 55c ,that is bad overclocker cpu.

Haha. Yeah I wanna see his results too. He hasn't mentioned the vid card freqs yet.

3bqruk, you should edit your profile and update your specs.

Well I might know what I'm doing but usually I never get a piece of hardware that does exceptionally well. With this GTO2, I have a card that's impressing me (that's very hard to do) so I thought myself and the thread starter should compare, especially since not many people have this limited edition card. A little competition if you like, although actually I'm not bothered if a higher score is attained.

Erm, that app gives me 55c too. Not entirely sure what that refers to, and not entirely sure why you wanted me to check mine since it does not reflect anything.

I am replacing this CPU ASAP BTW. A gain of 1.4k in 01 from +100MHz on the CPU certainly implies massive bottlenecking is present! I also want 2GB RAM but am waiting patiently to be sent some rather than buying some, and want some reassurance as to the capability of the modules I decide to use. Then I will be happy with my system... for about a week.

the max tcase give us a idea about if our cpu is bad or good overclocker.higher tcase is better.
i have seen people with 60c or more tcase and they are getting 2.8 ghz stable on air, default vcore.
can you run your cpu more than 2.5ghz and stable?
i cant go higher than 2.5ghz.

I don't see how the tcase relates to overclocking ability, and besides, as far as I'm aware the (static) tcase for a 90nm part is 65c so I don't know what that app refers to.

In fact, tcase itself isn't actually useful since the temps readings we get from our mobos are from the internal diode. AMD don't give us the max die temp for their desktop A64's (with IHS) but I'm gonna estimate about 80c for 90nm.
