This is baffling me to no end, hopefully someone here might have come across this... My Oblivion game is broken. All of the sudden one day, music no longer works, and the game stutters maniacally. All other games work fine. Only Oblivion is broken. I made no changes to my computer whatsoever: Oblivion just started to do this randomly. Now... here's where it gets truly strange. I completely uninstalled Oblivion/Shivering Isles. I re-installed both from scratch. I re-applied the latest patch. The problem comes back on a fresh install! The game basically just stutters... only moves every half second or so. Controls are responsive only about 1/2 the time. There's no in-game music. And the last time I played it, it worked great - good framerate, with sound, and all was well. ......has anyone had this happen to them? If so, where do I begin trying to fix this? Thanks!
My Documents/My Games/Oblivion/Oblivion.ini Move that to your desktop (or anywhere other than where it is now) and run the game again. That'll make your game create a new one.
