Hi i have just been given a Clawhammer 3200,@2.0ghz, i put the FSB up to 210 and now i have a 2.1, what i would like to know is is there more i can do , i have an asus k8v deluxe mainboard..
Kingston Pc3200 ddr, at the moment my fsb is at 210 which gives me 2.1 ghz, in everst, my ram comes out in the tests as pc3400 read CPU Motherboard Chipset Memory Read Speed This Computer Asus K8V Deluxe K8T800 PC3400 DDR SDRAM 2941 MB/s Write CPU Motherboard Chipset Memory Write Speed This Computer Asus K8V Deluxe K8T800 PC3400 DDR SDRAM 1108 MB/s latancy CPU Motherboard Chipset Memory CL-RCD-RP-RAS Latency This Computer Asus K8V Deluxe K8T800 PC3400 DDR SDRAM 3-3-3-8 60.6 ns
set ur multiplier down to 6-8. set ur ram latencies to around 3-3-3-11 reduce the HTT multi to X3 up the FSB in steeps of 5Mhz it u get a no post. (uping voltages to a max of 2.8-3V for the ram and 1.6V with air on the cpu) reduce it by 10mhz check for stabilty with prime 95 if stable (couple of hrs) increase the multi till u get instabilty (again incresing voltage) milage will vary. and u may want to change the ratio of FSB to multi. but the above will fine u the max overal clock with value ram and a clawhammer (no known for their ocing) 240x9, 230x10 would be good clocks. targ
set your ram to 166 in the bios...you'll be running async but the performance loss isn't what it was on nF2...that should give you about 250-260 fsb x 10X and your ram will be running it's rated speed...
