    Hey guys,

    I'm getting event 14 errors with usual removal. Win 11
    windows 11 Event ID 14 Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted.

    I removed HD audio, Optimus support, and physX.
    I Only added USB C

    Just for testing purpose, I let the full driver install and had no issues. I usually repack the driver.

    Any ideas what I'm missing would be appreciated.

    NOTE: I just re installed but without using repackage option. The error is gone.

    Seems to be with repacking option.

    Update, After a few restarts, the message came on so, not repacking option.

    Returned to 511.65 and message is not showing up, for the moment. :rolleyes:

    I only checked these Checkboxes:
    • Core functionality
    • GeForce Experience
    And i get this error. Do i need other Miscellaneous Checkboxes to be checked?

    It's on Majorgeeks ,version 13.
    Voodooshield says it's not digitally signed so i can see why it's getting blocked by various site scanners and programs.

    Weird.
    I never digitally signed any of the previous versions and never had an issue.
    Changed the download link to point straight to DropBox, with no Bit.Ly in the middle.

    Windows 11 booting into safe mode screen flicker taskbar would not populate. It will work if you boot with network enabled.
    I am wondering, is this a new driver slimmer error because of trimming driver?
    Or is this a Windows error with 22000.651 or 652?

    It's a bug with the Windows 2022-04 Cumulative Update KB5012643 which breaks safe mode. Uninstall said update and you'll be able to get into safe mode fine. It has nothing to do with drivers. Video card drivers aren't even loaded in safe mode (which is why it's recommended to run DDU in safe mode, for example).

    i've determined it to be connected to shell advertising that 11 implements, network connection as pointed out by others prevents the issue.

    Makes sense. I wonder if there's a way to disable that ad crap completely and if that fixes safe mode, too.

    if not too much to ask, is it possible to have an option to simply write repackaged file to nvslimmer directory? selecting the destination (network drive, 4 or 5 dirs deep, i use the new package for several pcs) is kinda tedious. to get around it i just let it write to desktop then drag it to the nvslimmer dir, but please consider!

    Ah ,late reply but might be the Bit.Ly ,i think maybe some security scanners can be overly aggressive with those short link thingys that lead to other links.

    Thanks for the Nvslimmer ,works very well.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    Man, Jaafaman from Nvidia official forum said that nvslimmer could screw up your card, i told him that i always use it to cut the garbage and never had any problem, what do you think about that ?

    Utter bullshit. He just has a corporative directive to defend data mining GF Experience probably. There is no way a driver can "mess up your card" permanently, let alone official but just cut down driver, no way.
