This is amazing. Kudos.
No you don't. You just need Core display driver and Install Core.
Installed these drivers with NVSlimmer and managed to sideload NVIDIACorp.NVIDIAControlPanel_8.1.956.0_x64__56jybvy8sckqj.Appx in PowerShell. Nvidia Control Panel once again shows when I right click my desktop, but I receive a message that a network location cannot be reached.
@uKER Nvidia have changed something in the latest driver packaging 441.87. When i installed it using the latest slimmer i get the "Ansel can be activated" pop out when starting a game.
I rolled back a driver version with DDU and the popout was not there, not a big deal i just don't want the overlay working which i guess it is for the pop out to be there
disable ansel globally with profile inspector, there is no way to remove ansel from the dch driver without breaking the signed catalog
I am using a GRD driver and since i never installed Ansel that option in NV inspector is not there, i know the one you mean, the only Ansel related one is for ansel flags for white listed apps which is already at disallowed
You are using a DCH driver, which moves the NVCamera files into the DisplayDriver folder.
and there is more than just the whitelist disallow setting.
"Enable Ansel" on and off control the system ansel setting.
"Gameready" is both DCH and Standard.
OK you are right, i was looking for "ansel enable" not "enable ansel" . Smoke from the bushfires must be affecting my eyesight
I want to install latest GRD on win10 on nv10xx series gpu.
I just want the drivers, hdmi/dp out, control panel to work and compatible with afterburner, will not be using GFE.
What would be the right boxes to check.
And is there a list that explains what each checkbox is for? if not, could it be added to the app itself?
Is this tool still being used by the community? (asking as the last update(0.7) has a while)
I use it on every new driver release without a problem. At least until now.
If i stop the "NVIDIA Display Container LS" service the Nvidia control Panel doesn't start. If i start the service all fine. mmhh
What is the "display driver automatic updater"? To my knowledge automated updating has always been served via Geforce Experience?
I have a small issue installing a barebones driver on a 2070S, when I only select the required essentials (Core Display Driver, Install Core, HD Audio and PhysX) and install it device manager tells me there is a PCIe device without a driver. This disappears when I install the full installation, I'm guessing this is the missing USB-C driver or am I missing something else essential? This used to work fine without any exclamation points in device manager, but that was on a 1070 and the drivers were not yet fully DCH either.
yep its USBC driver
Anyone know what part of the drivers nvidia-smi.exe is in? Tried extracting drivers couldnt find it but I have reinstalled many times(part of normal processes of renewing os every few months like underwear or new release) and I was always able to increase power target of gpu vs nvidia-smi.exe via batch script.
start cmd.exe /k "C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI\nvidia-smi.exe" -pl 358
but now that exe doesnt exist or isnt apart of 442.59 drivers. Anyone know what section I have to leave in nvslimmer or we gonna require a seperate download to get nvidia-smi.exe now?
I dont use the slimmer, just install drivers normally, and I dont have that NVSMI folder or the exe anywhere. So I dont think this is an issue caused by driver slimming utility, but possibly Nvidia changed something on their end.
NVslimmer is awesome, i always use it to remove nvidia craps, and it's working flawlessly until now .
Great to hear this is still alive, guys.
I thought it had fallen into oblivion.
I'll be on the look if any new stuff is needed.
of course is alive because its pcs of usefull and good soft
