I am trying really hard to make some sense out of this, but having a hard time to see what is going on. The examples used are weird, a MSI Vega Gaming X edition, for example, has never been released in the first place. Others missing, simply could be out of stock. Will dig a little deeper into this though. Also, as suggested on that reddit thread - the fact that the ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 580 is not available on newegg, doesn't mean it was ripped from the STRIX branding, contrary in the EU there is full availability: https://geizhals.eu/?fs=ASUS+ROG+Strix+Radeon+RX+580&in=
ROG Strix Radeon is available at newegg (it might not have been earlier). There may still be inventory with old packaging though.
That plus with how stock is for GPU's in the market right now, shouldn't be surprised if some show out of stock or not even listed anymore. On ASUS's, Gigabyte's, and MSI's sites, they still all list GPU's under their major gaming brands from AMD. Asus- https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics-Cards/ROG-STRIX-RX580-O8G-GAMING/ GigaByte- http://www.gigabyte.fi/Graphics-Card/GV-RX580AORUS-4GD-rev-10-11#kf MSI- https://us.msi.com/Graphics-card/Radeon-RX-580-GAMING-X-Plus-8G
Myeah, the one difference I can actually spot ATM is that the MSI USA website does show Gaming X cards listed, and the global and EU website, do not. I dunno, looks like some people are assuming a bit too much, not 100% sure about that though.
Also for Aorus Gigabyte cards: https://geizhals.eu/?fs=aorus+gigabyte+Radeon+RX+&in= https://geizhals.eu/?fs=gigabyte+Radeon+RX+&in= And MSI Gaming and Armor series: https://geizhals.eu/?fs=MSI++Radeon+RX+&in=
1080Ti is still a mess though.. Min ~880€ -_- https://geizhals.eu/?cat=gra16_512&xf=9810_7+10609+-+GTX+1080+Ti&sort=p#productlist
I am trying to make sense of all this as well...but I just had oral surgery and just really can't concentrate long enough to really dig for more then a minute or two.
I meant from getting into the nitty gritty and doing the in depth comparison web diving...I understand what is going on...but I knew I could count on people here to actually look and compare things where I cannot just concentrate on it correctly at this time. I have a lot more trust for information provided here then other sources as well as back checking facts even with people I do not agree with.
Honestly, they should just create a new brand for the Geforce cards, and keep / put the AMD cards into the usual brands like "Gaming", "Aorus" or "Strix" (with Aorus and Strix never been on my list of great names). Maybe then people wouldn't be as upset. But the statement that the 580 box thing is not aimed at gamers is just stupid... apparently they really need NV's help in marketing (j/k)
