    Yeah, that makes sense.

Probably similar to what im doing too, i plan a board/cpu upgrade in a few months, and by the time BF3 is out, we should know what the 28nm cards will be like.

+1 same here , after seen the HUGE pricetag of $800US Dollars + Tax + shipping and handling = around $840~$850Us Dollars for one card :wanker: , i will stick to my 2x HD6950 Unlocked to HD6970 since they might be faster than the upcoming overpriced GTX 590 , those low clocks and the hefty price tag put me off from buying this card :/ , with those low , very low clocks i suspect there is low overclockablity on this cards due to heat and power.

i have to say the 590 is definitely not worth its price tag.
Can easily buy 2 580's for almost the same price and you will see better performance from them.

GPU are getting way to expensive special considering 90% of all games will never use its full power considering the amount of pc games these days that piss poor console ports

Has it been confirmed that the GTX 590 will be in limited supply (ie Asus Mars)?

Not as was the Mars, but only Evga and Asus will sell the card ( USA and Europe, Asia is another story ), and yes the availability will be really limited ( some said 1000 pieces ),
but nothing yet is confirmed, let's wait the 24th for know more about it.

That's just the usual ASUS thing, i have that log on my GTX480 (got it today for £185, not bad IMO), it simply means you can tweak the voltage on the card to get "up to" a 50% performance boost.

TBH, if i were to buy video cards right now it would be 2 6950's unlocked to 6970 which = a 6990, and for a pricetag of only $480.

then two 570's, which would give the same performance as unlocked 6950's but cost 90$ more/each.

whens the last time you've used an ati/amd card honestly? since 4870x2 i havent had driver issues.
And before you think im bias, i had ati 4870x2 > nvidia > now 6950/70
and havent had any real issues with either camp. Both aren't perfect but neither are bad enough to not go with the better price/perf card.
