Can confirm that UE3 game don't have gamma issues, and Dx11 games are working.
AVP looks great with FXAA, default AA sucks and performs very bad.

Proper AA should is better, but alot of the time these days ingame AA isn't proper.

I think this is very very good considering its beta, looks great and performance is a good bit lower than traditional AA.

Does it work in online games with punkbuster or steam vac? I guess more accurate question is do you get kicked/banned for it?

It might never come with the driver for Direct3D for a similar reason that triple buffering didn't. Forcing those things when the game engine doesn't natively support it requires "hacks", for example app hooking and code injection (at least in the manner which we are using them now).

That said, it's not inconceivable that FXAA could be forced in the driver for D3D. For me, it's just a question of whether or not NV will actually do it. I have my doubts, but I hope they prove me wrong.

Also, FXAA applied at the driver level might not function or look as good as FXAA implemented properly in a game engine. For example FXAA in-game would be implemented in certain post-processing stage of the rendering pipeline which could come before any heads up display (HUD) or text gets drawn.

Actually there's very simple explanation for triple buffer. For some reason it is not allowed in new driver model or that's the case if I remember correctly. FXAA is just post-processing filter, not black magic. You can basically slap it on everything without issues. Heck, if NVIDIA can force ambient occlusion via driver, then you bet they can do the same for FXAA.

Yes FXAA is just a post-processing filter, but in the case of Direct3D the driver will have to make guesses on where to properly apply it. So it's still a "hack" per se, and no wonder it is not implemented in the driver already.

If you have Ubershaders enabled then disable it since Ubershaders is Supersampling (a hog in itself) and with it of and FXAA enabled you should earn some performance in Witcher 2

FXAA looks worse than Witcher 2 default AA.
Witcher 2 AA is also a shader based effect and apart from removing jaggies it also adds more definition, and it doesn't cost much performance.
SSAO and motion blur are the performance killers.

i'm surprised that with your rig you would even need to use fxaa , to me fxaa is a way to get to a reasonable frame rate with out sacrificing all the eye candy , with the hack i'm able to run at higher graphics settings on my meager box

Why would you be surprised at this?

Edit- Oh you were talking strictly Witcher 2, sorry!
