    60 FPS at 1440p on 2x295 [IMG]
You can tell this to another nvidia-bot. BF3 is developed for DX11 [IMG]
Well my 5970 can't heat my house, costs less, has DX11 [IMG]

Oh, wait, 295 has 2x 896MB. So you have 4x896 VRAM. In fact you have 896MB for 1440p? And you have constant 60 fps? :funny:

Sorry mate just defending my rig after being attacked cause i have some crappy 295s yet they can handle anything, some people seem to think the 295s are like an 8800gtx.

You dont get that much of a vantage score on a single 5970 so pull the other one, dont get me wrong 2x5970s beat 2x295s but 1x5970 does not and beings as its you throwing down the gauntlet,im defending myself,at 1440p the fps drops a little but at 1200/1080p i get constant 60fps.

Is it just me, or would banning the smile/emotioncon things do wonders for this forum. I feel like every post looks so much more trollish when it has a face after every sentence.

You can't ban emoticons, they are on every forum, every chat and every website around the world... That would be like banning the word 'The'... lol

I wouldn't mind seeing certain images blocked, i know you can't, but it looks awful and very childish to see people speaking in pictures.

Technically you could make a rule that certain images will get you banned, as i feel they are a way to bend the rules and get away with it, on other places i've even saw people type up obscenity filled rants in Word, then take a screen grab and use the image to get round any forum rules.

Alright guys, let's stop the thread derailing. Won't be giving out any more warnings after this.

You know what's more childish, that you feel offended by them and you want them banned lol :p

Who said anything about being offended, i just think it looks bad having people talking in pictures, especially when its the same one over and over.

So did anyone read this, i did mention it, but it might of gotten lost as the arguing started around about then.

SemiAccurate obviously, but since no one else is bothering to say anything, even just make something up, i guess that is all we have for now.

With regard to the emoticons it hadn't occurred to me that you're actually totally right :)

    See what I mean :)

OK.... how do I get out of this now?

Anyway, I think it's a good point that I hadn't really considered until now but even I do it all the time without realising I'm doing. It's kind of like a reflex actually. And they're right THERE ->>>

I will try to do it less now that I understand how annoying it can be to some people. But just for your info I'm actually trying to be a really nice guy on here, sometime I can be in a bad mood though. That's no excuse though, try to keep the forum clean, I guess.

It's an interesting read, I was thinking of going high-end this series but I might end up going mid-range if it is as powerful as specculated and at a low cost. It's annoying that they're always late by a couple months to the party though, makes you want to wait for the refresh, which in turn will make you want to wait to see the next gen. cards :p

thats almost as bad as comparing a 15 month old 580 to a 7970 is it not?

Exactly..a great card the 7970 is but for how long it took for it to come out its a little disappointing and a lot of people were expecting more.

I been in this game along time and from my experience ATI are 99% of the time always playing catchup.

Full GK104 660 ends up at ~ stock 580gtx performance.

    Full GK110 680gtx ~ 45% faster then stock 7970 (7970 OC ~1250-1350mhz).

I would expect full GK110 to be at least 65-70% faster then full SI 7970.. but then again you can't do miracles with the same amount of compute units - 32 by both.

Now idk if that's so amazing, especially full GK104 everyone praises so much..28nm refresh here i come :D

    When i said 28nm refresh i meant NV 700, AMD 8000.
