Every game i've played so far... BF2, Splinter Cell Chaos theory, Rainbow Six Vegas....
Are you playing on the highest detail ?
because your cpu is not strong at all.
I'm considering the survey, but I won't mention anything with OCing in case something fishy happens.
It worked fine in xp... I think i've fixed it by manually setting the pagefile because it always seemed to access the hard drive everytime it stuttered so i assumed it was adjusting its size... i'll have to play some more to confirm it
To me too but then in F.E.A.R. Combat That was with the 100.59 drivers though, will test these drivers this evening
They fixed alot in this drivers.
now the DreamScene Preview for 64bit works without a problem, it just came out today i think lol.
but it had a problem with 59, when i started the video instead of wallpaper there was always error with the nvidia display driver, for the beginning it always freezed for sec and flashed couple of times, and then in some rare occusions it freezed totally and reboot needed.
now it just works smooth and cool.
same here. I had the same problem with 100.59
don't know what the issue is with these.
ah well, back to 100.54... :bang:
the only game i had issues with was BF2, and although these are defo not perfect they seem to have made a bit of improvement in the stuttering stakes. still does it at map beginning but settles a lot quicker and hasnt been coming back and forward. step in the right direction, at least for me anyhow.
Ohhh, please tell me where you downloaded the beta for dreamscene x64. I googled for it and still no luck.
Edit: I just saw on the Software Forum that Microsoft released it for download throught Vista update. Cant wait to go home and try it.
Its supposed to be part of the ultimate extras up for download.
Edit: I got the impression that finchwizard thought I was not being truthful when I posted my dreamscene background.
Iget 100% cpu and 60% memory utilization when running dreamscene.lol
Its like running cod2 24 hours a day.lol
Hey guys help me sort out my problem plz,
i got 8800GTS 640mb last nite but couldnt get Vista drivers to install i get a ! mark on device mananger and "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" device status.
i'v tried 2 different drivers inc 100.64.
no problem with XP
Yeah, im getting 60% cpu usage on both of my cores!!. Its not supposed to hardly use any CPU and the GPU is supposed to do all the work... not on my 7900gs it isnt.
My mate has a E6600, core usage was minimal yesterday while running this
So this has beta SLI Support? what about for the 7950 GX2? Does SLI work with that?
I run dual cards, one is the 7950 GX2 and the other is a Geforce PCI 5500 so I get the SLI goodness and the dual monitor I need.
I just read somewhere that dont use wmv cause it uses alot more cpu than mpeg.Mpeg uses like a 1/4 cpu power of wmv when dreamscene is running.
No it has not, look at the release notes. Only 8800 series.:bat:
That's because wmv acceleration is totally broken with every driver released so far. I dunno why nvidia is wasting time with worthless marketing crap like sli for the genius with two 8800 when basic stuff is still broken
Awesome news!!! I will try these tonight. Anybody play Oblivian with these yet and fix some of the bleached out areas??
How about 8800s in SLI??? Big ears here, thanks and this might save me from doing an OEM XP this weekend lol
