nvidia vista 100.64 drivers

Finally! I've got color on TV-out via component video. That's all I wanted for christmas.

 

These drivers still stink, but at least I can play some games now, whereas not on earlier drivers at 2560x1600.

 

You have color? Is your image clear? Mine is very grainy. ALmost like its flickering a lot.

 

I haven't gotten a chance to look very closely. But just casually watching TV on media center everything looks clear. Also the desktop looks fine as well. Definitely a thumbs up and maybe the last push to convert full-time to vista (though I'm keeping xp for anything that might not work out).

 

Another sucky release. Any game I play regardless of the gaming engine, it is washed out. In COD2 I can't even see anything but gray.

 

Just did a quick 3dmark06, scored the same as before but I guess it didn't say it had any performance enhancements in the release notes.

 

i have the same problem in cod2 with the 100.59 drivers the only difference is that i see only the hud and compas everything else is black.

will try the 100.64 later the day. hope some of the games work now.

especially r6 vegas, dark messiah mm, cod2, and so on...

PS. is there anybody whos r6 vegas looks all the time blury and when tangos come it the screen changes to whole black, whole blue, whole white and so on, on every sec.??? thats my prob and i want play that game :chainsaw:

 

Yea I doubt we'll see Vista performance fixes for a while, I think at this point nvidia is doing everything they can just to get all of the features implemented correctly.

got some good smoothing. Devil may cry 3 is washed out, but gets proper color sometimes.

 

I have the same compass issue in CoD2... pfft
As with all vista drivers, I still can't obtain 1280x1024 just the rather odd 1272x1017.

I've gone back to XP Forceware 78.01 and enjoying overclocking, classic control panel and good CoD2 loving.

6xxx users lose the aero, you know it makes sense.

 

For CoD2, run in XP compatibility mode and if that don't work, reduce the settings so it uses an older version of DX, simple

help them so they can help us, they new to this OS as we are !

They need to write New Drivers that support DX10 and new Driver model which support WDDM2.0 for all 8000 series and WDDM1.0 for 7000 series.

Dont get mad, just write the problems and they will fix it the next driver even before the end of the month.

i want to play the games i like, i know that so do you. so at least we will play them before official Whql and we will know for sure the game is fixed because driver problem and not after even WHQL it wont work.

Buttom line, POST PROBLEMS SO THEY WILL BE FIXED!

Understand them so they will understand you.

 

these drivers still have the slowdown every few minutes while gaming... does anybody else get this where you'll play smoothly for a while and it suddenly becomes choppy then smooth again?

 

did this fix compatibility with most games yet?

 

Ok i cant install these, error 43 or something. i get ! mark on the card, BFG OC 8800GTS

 

Only with UFO Afterlight, but i think thats the game itself since when it happens a character model is warped underground (physics gone bad)

 

100.64 finally allows me to change scaling methods among other things. It unfortunately doesn't allow Digital Vibrance. So far so good, and the addition of scaling was something that definitely comes in handy. Let's just hope the final drivers come soon, yes.

 

Drivers did not fix the garbled screen problems....

 

yes it happens to me too in NFS Carbon.
