the other remix package has agp and memory controllers which can't be found anywhere else online.. im not assured that those files are even real.. maybe they were edited to show newer versions coz the only memctrl and gart drivers online are 4.36

don't install these just yet.. im going to be uploading V2 soon which has a unified nforce 3/4 inf which was missing from the last set

also yes. the 4.16's are the official final nforce2 ethernet drivers

    i think so....

i uninstalled the 5.10 unified, reboot, install these guys, reboot..played a few rounds of BF2, all is well :)

    thx !!!

oh and it did fix my "Enable Read Caching" options. For some reason it was disabled on the 5.10 for my Maxtor 16MB cache... now i can enable it and testrun it abit faster...

Tarkan, 5.10's don't have read caching only write caching

this set has the ide driver from 6.30 so supports read caching

the one from 5.10's (also known as 2.6) did have alot of problems but 2.7 + seems to be ok

These can enable read caching? My hd has 2mb buffer, how do I enable the read cache? It improves load times or performance? I know... I'm a noob.

also note that the ethernet drivers WERE Whql but aren't now, as i added the nforce 3 ethernet id's to the ethernet driver
so it'll ask you if you wanna install it

nforce2 ethernet is still whql (couldn't work out how to unify all 3 drivers)

Hi {HLH}]Tarkan, after the ethernet issue on the NF3 MB, I've found an "old" package of NFORCE drivers, the package version is NFORCE 6.53, and the ethernet driver is 4.75, wich BTW works fine and flawssely on my DFI NF3 UT. I tried installing the first 8.22 driver set and then install only the ethernet driver on this 6.53 package.

Result: Didnt have those issues of BSOD when installing the ethernet drivers that other recent packages cuases. Everything works JUST fine!

    Hope the tip helps!

lol i meant that this has the ide driver from 6.70 btw, typo

my new set should have the nforce3 ethernet stuff as i added the device id's from the nforce2/3 5.10's

so technically the new driver has Ethernet NRM driver version 5.09 (Custom) nforce 3/4 as both the nforce 3 nrm set and the nforce 4 nrm set uses the same files and reg strings was just a matter of adding the device id's :D

so the new driver in the other thread should install completely :D
