    *Updated*
just finished this pack, contains latest nf2 ethernet drivers (4.71) and a new inf file IDE SW 6.24 (originally 6.21 but name changed due to changes inside)

this is the ide driver usually with andyr's remix and after going over it i found alot of inconsistancies including the fact that the read cache options were missing and also there was unessary amd64 entries (it'll install on amd64 anyway)

so without anymore yapping, here it is

This nForce Win2K/XP driver package contains the below components:
    Audio driver version 4.62 (WHQL)
    Audio utility version 4.51
Ethernet PreNRM driver 4.71 nforce2 (stable beta)(fixes throughput bsod)
Ethernet NRM driver version 5.09 nforce 3/4 (customised whql)
    Network management tools version 5.09
    GART driver 4.40 (stable beta)
Memory controller driver 4.40 (stable beta)
    SMBus driver version 4.50 (WHQL)
    Installer version 4.93
SATA RAID driver version 6.24 (customised stable beta)
IDE driver version 6.24 (nforce 2,3 and 4) (customised stable beta)
RAIDTOOL application version 6.22 (customised stable beta)

This set is not supported by nVidia and will not be liable for any damages done to your system
you use these files at your own risk and the creator will provide as best support as possible

i know people are really against trying new things when it comes to thier stable machines but can some people with nforce 2s and 3's and 4's test this set?

    btw, thanks Hilbert

Are there any improvement over using the 5.11 drivers?

  10. {HLH}

    {HLH} Guest

the 5.11's use an older network driver

they also use the 5.10's ide driver which doesn't support Read caching

this set uses the ide driver from nforce 4 6.70's which works on nforce 2/3/4, the original 8.22's did not have an ide driver as they were for sata/pata mobos only

the IDE 5.22 enabled read caching which improves performance

it also supports a newer smbus driver as well as newer audio drivers

I just installed the set on my rig. During the setup, I got an error (something with an Uninstall.exe), but the setup finished anyway. Everything works fine so far, just my nforce Network controller isn't installed properly. Isn't a big problem since I don't use it ^^

no worries, if it works on nf2.. theres no reason why it wouldn't on nf3

thats wierd, its the normal ethernet driver...

if you have issues, report them so i can update this set so it can be added to the update i'll do, im going to integrate the ethernet inf all together.

wierd about that uninstaller error, i never got that and i never modified any settings in the installers ini/inf

nodo, try manually updating the ethernet driver, if the both infs tell you that there isn't any information for your device then its cause the nforce3 driver is missing *oops*

What is the point of having these drivers? Aren't they just the 6.22 drivers that came out in october?
