This week you'll see the first GeForce GTX 1650 reviews, but from the looks of things, a Ti model is brewing as well. new ECC list entries indicate a second TU117 model that positions itself between...

Why the surprise? We also had 1050 and 1050Ti...

Given the gap between the 1650 and 1660 in both performance and price, a card between these two was predictable.

570 and 1060 are two years old and can be found cheap. I dont see the point of this release.

The point is to lower the power consumption, reduce costs with a better manufacturing process and refresh the lineup with new architecture/optimizations! GTX 1060 won´t last forever in the market...

AMD did the same when they released RX480, the R9 390 series was pretty cheap also at the time with same performance, and it was not a pointless release because of that!

It´s normal for manufacturers to harmonize their lineup, even for the sake of optimizing the software for the same architecture.

    Here's this to consider:
GTX 1650 is already $150 card. This is likely to cost more.
    New RX-570 4G goes for $130.

GTX 1650 already does not have much value since RX-570 is around ~25% faster even on 1080p. Since next stronger card from nV is GTX 1660 at $220, this 1650 Ti is likely to be like ~$180. That's lot more expensive than RX-570.

C'mon Nvidia pick up the pace. I want to see a 1655, 1655Ti, 1665, and 1665Ti, as well as variants of all the 1600 GPUs ranging from 3GB to 8GB, each with different memory busses. As for the AIB partners, I expect OC and super-OC, and they better have totally different RGB patterns or else you're doing the public a disservice. I also don't think it'd be so much to ask for the same to apply to the RTX series...

I want to be able to spend at least a half hour to make decisions based on $5-10 variations of each product.

Seems as if Nvidia has chicken little releasing gpu's since losing half of its value in stock pricing. Along with the stock value fall, big brother Intel is threatening to muscle in on AMD and Nvidia's turf. So seems like the shotgun approach to try and cover every possible tier of gpu cards. In an attempt to make it difficult for Intel to grab a toe hold in the discrete gpu game. The good thing, and not to beat a dead dog to death here, is competition makes it a win win for the consumer. It will drive new innovations and hopefully spark a pricing war down the road.
