Hmm, atleast with my 8800GTX and this new PhysX driver it has the Geforce PhysX selectable in PhysX properties. I don't know what I have done wrong ;P but I have to look deeper in to it. Maybe it is just an clitch or something so I have to run some tests to see if it's really working or not.
Oh, I'm using 177.66 forceware by the way.

Edit: Well, atleast PhysX SDK samples seem to work in hardware now. Nice! :)

Edit2: Oh yes, I should have read the other threads. It's really working with G80 GPUs now and that has been said already like thousand times.

Do not believe others. I try 177.79 + Physx .18 myself and can tell you that
the driver DID NOT support physx on 8 series !!
And 177.xx do crack on Mass Effect 1.01a so I move back to 175.16 !!!

Off course it works. Just look at my specs and screens posted in NVIDIA Drivers forum. Yeah, I got it working from the first try, no problems. And I see the boost clearly.

    You FAIL.
It does 100% work , why would anyone lie about it anyway?
Just because you can't get it to work doesn't mean it suddenly doesn't work for everyone.
Just reinstall your videocard drivers and physx drivers if you are still having problems feel free to post and i'll try and see how i can help you to get it working.

Reply or make a new post if you reinstalled your drivers. (gl)

I use WinXP sp3 and try on DEMO from Physx itself.
I run DEMO and found CPU still 25% loading even I use with or without Physx enable!

I try to test on Mass Effect but the game crash every 5 minutes with
    no inprovement of frame rate.
After reinstall or clean install new drivers (177.xx) the game still crash!
So I moved to 175.16 and no crash at all.

I can't test on Vantage since I use XP.
So Is there other way to test Physx?

I want to use Physx for Mass Effect but If it doesn't work and crash!
why do I use it? Right!

Physx will prolly won't work on the 175.16 driver , try 177.39 then.
Download warmonger and try it with physx turned off and on.
You can download warmonger here http://www.gamershell.com/download_22163.shtml

Also if you use one of the physx demo's your CPU won't suddenly go down to 1% it still has to load stuff and such.

Also 177.39 can be found here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_177.39_beta.html

Here's 177.79 but you said you already tried that:http://downloads.guru3d.com/GeForce-ForceWare-177.79-XP-(32-bit)-download-2012.html

You could also try a complete uninstall of your driver because removing them in programs is not a complete uninstall you can find a guide here:http://www.overclock.net/faqs/12466-info-nvidia-driver-cleaning-guide.html

if you got any more questions feel free to ask them.
