    Hello,

I recently migrated from an Nvidia GTX 275 to a single XFX 5770 vid card. Right from the start the 5770 didn't seem up to snuff when compared to my GTX 275 in most games; is that to be expected between these 2 cards?

I then decided to go Crossfire with two XFX 5770s. I really thought I would see a large difference when going from 1 5770 to 2 5770s in Xfire mode. Am I just expecting too much? Here are my 3dmark scores with each configuration. What can I use to monitor my FPS while in game without affecitng game performance?

    Single Nvidia GTX 275

    Single ATI HD Radeon 5770

Dual ATI HD Radeon 5770 - Xfire

    I think I get around the same score with my 2 x 5770s and Phenom II 965 @ 3.4ghz

Make sure you have installed the CrossFireX Application Profiles from the Driver download site

you have a core 2 duo? then there's your answer, a faster cpu will remove the bottleneck..

    GTX 275 is faster then a 5770 (5770 = 4870 performance)

Use FRAPS to monitor your FPS (it doesn't effect performance unless you're recording)

OC your CPU to remove some of the bottleneck

What games are you playing and at what resolution?

Some games may not take advantage of multi-gpu setups..

Edit: 06 is extremely CPU limited, vantage would have been better for comparison

3d Mark I guess. Vantage is better to see GPU scaling.
