Leaked build of Windows 11 21996 is indeed based on current Dev Insider Preview builds 213xx. It's just a rebrand with a UI refresh. Though 213xx is already quite ahead of stable version 19041(19042/19043/19044 are all feature enabled versions of 19041).

Guess even more reason why (If I ever can get it at MSRP) a 3080 or 3090 will be my last GPU for a while. (Same as the 3600xt will be the last CPU upgrade)
After that i'll have to build a 2nd PC for more modern stuff and keep the 3600xt/3080 combo for legacy stuff.
Because of a certain software setup I have going, not really able or willing to drop W7 completely yet.

But i'm glad support lasted this long. Can't complain!

with the limitations on its support, it has aged just fine.

Windows 11 is dead on arrival.

Just like Windows 10? I'm pretty sure people always say such things for every new Windows version. You're gonna install Windows 11 within the first 6 months and you're gonna love it. Bet.

Are you not aware of the hardware limitations set by Microsoft for Win11?
He can't even install it unless he uses one of the "unofficial" methods, which may very well lead to more trouble than it's worth.

I agree with Astyanax here, and I've heard the "but you'll have upgraded by the time support for W10 ends" about a hundred times now; and no, tons of people won't have and will not, simply because their HW is either still viable, they can't afford to, or some other perfectly valid reason.

Unless Microsoft drops (and I don't mean lower) the limitations, W11 doesn't stand a chance of getting enough users anytime soon; quite possibly never. And it shouldn't either.
    IMO, unless that wasn't clear.

Vista had more quirks and it still roamed.
Message sent from Win11 IP. :D
