4080 12g sells 2.5x as much as 7900xt https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-...iler-more-cards-sold-than-rx7000-arc-combined I think the problem is availability imo.
Just like I suspected months ago, Nvidia would just sell their 4090 Ti chips as ADA Quadro Nvidia RTX 6000 ADA Workstation GPU specs, 11% more SMs than 4090 Process Size 4nm NVIDIA Custom Process | TSMC Die Size 608.4 mm Transistors 76.3 Billion CUDA Cores 18176 Tensor Cores 568 Gen-4 RT Cores 142 Gen-3 GPU Memory 48 GB GDDR6 with ECC Memory Interface 384-bit Maximum Power Consumption 300 W Auxiliary Power Connector 1x PCIe CEMS 16-pin
it's interesting, in unlimited mb/s mode, it's 72-102% of desktop 4080. but only adds 27W to system consumption playing cp2077 at 4K, the price of 20e a month equals 5.5 yr of subscription vs. retail of 4080 (1300e). this isn't a useless option for a portable computer, I mean, what better can you do for a laptop ? It doesn't even drain the battery or add to noise that much. even the most limited 3050 starts at 35W tgp. for a desktop, I'd much rather just get a 4070Ti.
