everything is still so damn overpriced these days, upper mid-range is non-existent literally, first one will be the 4070, whose saving grace is mainly 1440p high refresh performance for what little power it requires. Price will still be a bit too much, even if it ends up at $600 imo. I'd still buy a nice entry level aib 4070 for $600, you don't need a strix/trio for a 200w card. Shame there's no 7700xt announcement, tty8k said it might be a 60CU part. Where was that from @tty8k, it would be well worth waiting for. +50% shaders over 6700xt, 16G 256-bit and newer node/arch, even without dlss3 equivalent those specs would be killer in the ~$600 range just by brute force. And no 12-pin adapter required. Not a decisive factor, but still prefer the old and trusted if possible.

 

1750Eur for the Manli, Zotac and the rest starting from Gigabyte are all 1800Eur+.

4080 and 7900xtx can be found at 1100Eur.

FE situation is indeed pathetic in EU. They send like 20 cards to official reseller stores every 2-3 months. Why does Nvidia even have FE? It's essentially just a paper launch card and a toy for Youtubers to make videos about.

 

In Portugal the cheapest 4090 is 1.900€ and the 4080 is 1.350€, so a drop of 100€ for the 4090 and 150€ for the 4080.


As for AMD, the 7900xtx starts at 1.180€ and the xt at 930€, a drop of 170€ for the xtx and 100€ for the xt.


They are all still expensive as hell...

Man everything GPU wise is still over priced. Thank god I bought my 6800xt in 2021 at a great deal. So instead of buying a 7900xt, I just spend $500 on another 49 inch super wide that is 1440p instead of 1080. Sold my 1080p one for $500 lol Free upgrade. My gpu is still solid as hell. Ill either wait till the 8800xt comes out or buy a 7900xtx once its $600 or lower. Been seeing 6950xt for sale around $650 or less but not enough of an upgrade.
I had considered the 4080 originally but after that debacle and the price of the 4070ti, I think Ill stay away from Ngreedia for a while longer. AMD is already pushing their damn greed button but not as hard yet.

 

in Canada the cheapest models 4090 (zotac) is 2204+25$shipping+13% sales tax 4080 (asus tuf) is 1630+13% 4070ti (asus tuf) is 1100+13% these cards are absurd i wouldn't even pay 1100 for a 4090. whoever is buying these cards are only supporting this bs and hurting the entire community idgaf that its your money and u can do whatever u want with it, you're screwing everyone else.

 

The only reason why the RTX 4090 FE is being sold (but in very small numbers I might add) is so that nVidia can say the RTX 4090 is being sold at MSRP, doesn't matter that AIBs have jacked up the price (to quote Buzz Lightyear) "To infinity and beyond".

Worth mentioning that the Gigabyte 4080s are the only cards coming with 4 years warranty (3 years for 7900 XTX).

 

We only ever get AMD FE cards. I don't think Nvidia FE's have ever been available in New Zealand. I wouldn't mind trying out an FE 4090, not the I could currently afford it though.

 

The only reason to want an FE 4090 is to take "only" 3 slots rather than 4.

 

Prices for GPUs are still crazy high.
NVidia and AMD won't be happy until they kill PC gaming.

 

6950xt black at 720eur though, if only that thing was 280-300w .....

 

Uv it heavily? Still i would not pay 720eur for 6950xt when you can get a 7900xt for 850eur.

Maybe look for used 6900xt. I've see them going 550-600eur.

 

I mean a 280w card can be saved with UV, a 350w one would lose too much performance to get it near 240w.
