I get your point and I have always un installed that way, but IQ and performance do seem better doing it the lazy way. DriverSweeper and Driver Cleaner do not remove all files anyway, certainly not in Win 7. Just search for them, you have to take ownership to properly delete them.

I know it doesn't make any sense and it probably is a placebo. Perhaps I am losing it slightly, I have been rather obsessed with getting Black Ops to run well so I have been doing way to much driver installing...

I didn't have any problem with Driver Sweeper with 2.75 version, I don't know about your version running.

I always use safe-mode while driver sweeper clean it out good.

I am running 2.7.5. I don't have problems with it, I am just saying that it doesn't remove all traces of driver residue. Does a better job with Nvidia, than Creative

What do you mean by IQ performance?

Image quality performance, thats what he means. I love the IQ of these drivers, althought i was shocked of 263.09 IQ in first place.

    Great set of drivers anyway.

Glad to hear the good feedback for the quadro drivers guys. Hopefully the desktop version will be just as good but actually run on my system.

No and i don't care!, having the driver removed from nvidia's website doesn't always mean it's something terrible ;)

Offtopic: Did you try the latest patches for the game? I installed that and everything was smooth afterwards. No stutters, Vsynced and 60FPS at all times

Hey how come Nvidia remove the 265.90 drivers from their site?

    they have a 259.81 set?

    o yes it does ;)

They had it for all Quadro Fermi and yet they returned to old 259.81.. that's 2 times now, first time with one 261.xx and now again with 265.90.. That pretty much tells you how incompetent they are with 260 series

and im still betting its something because of cuda 3.2.1 and whole 260 branch.

    @general
try quadro NVS, those are still 265 and inf works too..

    do you have quadro gpu?

i dont either but i saw such issues in the past - usually when they removed a driver (esp quadro) it means its something terribly wrong with it :nerd:

    no doubt about that :nerd:

460gtx is the biggest flop imo, to much driver dependent.. actually its the most driver dependent gpu up to date.. even 9600GT, 9800gtx+, 250gts aren't that much.

If the GTX460 is the most driver dependent GPU so far, then the 260 series of drivers must be the best drivers Nvidia has ever developed, as im getting 470 performance out of mine :).

250GTS obviously is worse, that is the GPU that failed the whql MS tests, thus making people think AMD drivers are better lol.
