Believe it, the 257.15 drivers and the 257.29 drivers were insane, I usually play warhead in gamer mode in Dx9 because DX10 mode even on the gamer setting had always been unplayable for me, but I was messing around with I.Q settings and ran the game on DX10 gamer with enthusiast post processing and objects and 8aa....it stayed above 30 frames 99% of the time, the lowest it went was 24, and that is in game not a benchmark....i'm talking up close explosions and modded speed mode so I was moving very fast all the time....

It's unexplainable, I thought I was imagining things....

No joke, crazy FPS in the new drivers, but the funny thing is that it doesn't run much better when turning the settings down. I had seen a few notes in past drivers about increased performance with high AA...must be true because 8aa was free for me and it was definitely working, no mistaking 8aa in crysis

I still have custom profile issues.

On the other hand my GPU and VRAM usage is working again in Everest, and my GPU temp is down a few degrees.

After all these posts, can someone confirm that it works with the 480 or not, because some people can't get it to work at all while others install it without problems. Who to believe? Hmm...

I am by no means an expert at editing inf files, so does someone have one for me that works for the 480? Would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

It works fine with the 470 at least. If you put the correct 3 lines into the .inf it'll work for sure.

As above, everything appears to work fine for my GTX 480 if I add only the 3 required lines to the inf, control panel is a little slow though.

I've added it below, rename to .inf.

OK I fixed my NCP profile issues by disabling my onboard video - seems it's not supported w/ the custom .inf.

False readings, software will be +/- from driver to driver and never be 100%.

Seriously doubt his card is 10C cooler unless previous driver was spinning fan at slower speed.

    End of ! ;)

Actually they SHOULD be the opposite, the Quadro Card is for Image Quality not speed.

I have no idea how over the years peeps say they are faster (not saying they are not).

I stick to drivers for gaming and do not install any Quadro or ION or Laptop drivers needing a modded file.

I'm not diss'ing anyone who does though.

Quadro drivers more likely had better IQ in the past compared to the normal drivers. All the sets that were said to have "exceptional" image quality were Quadros.

Installed again, gave artifacts during installation. Restarted, reinstalled and finally finished the installation. Weird anyway. Some issue while blinking the screen during install which I first face on a driver installation. Working stable and solid,,, so far!:bonk:

I get the "could not find any compatible hardware" error when I try to install...

Oops: Disregard. Just noticed the additional .inf file

just change NvCplSetupEng to NvCplSetupInt and it works..

and this set is the best from 200 series; i only tired TF2 and L4D2 and both ran smooth and fast even better than with 257.29 or 257.21 (these where the slowest for me)..
I just hope i don't get that slowdown bug with smoke in Cod Waw..

As for quadro debate.. they where always better for me, dunno why, even on my old 8800gts,.. well it depends on the version but usually they're bug free and super fast with great IQ.

For example 197.59q rocked, 197.85q where average, 197.90q sucked some stuff was broken, so yea it depends on the driver revision but usually they're top notch.

@iplaynaked; there is no IQ reduction, either try them or stop bitching :wanker: lol

i cant complain about Battlefield BC 2 , runs great as before...
i still can do my max OC and image quality is a lil better...im still around 60 frames.....no shadow bugs, no dissapearing textures, nothing , runs great...

As i said these Drivers are an Keeper for me..and i belive that in BC2 when i look in the far its not so blurry anymore, but could be placebo....anyway....greetz Beta

Anyone with a 285 card using these? have a look in 3d profiles and see if Adaptive power management is in there, I have the option in the steam.exe profile! I've never had that option before...i cant change it though, the only option is adaptive, which makes sense.
