Anyone had tried Joint Task Force? On my system physX is working for this game (and the effects on the vegetations are quite visible) but I got crappy performance also if the game is a couple of years old. Wondering if this is just a problem with my system or a general problem with this game.

WOW if you guy want to see GRAW2 the Ageia island with good FPS you need to get the real PhysX card from Ageia. 8800gtx oc SLI with the physX card the island is about 60-90fps and with one 800gtx i'm getting about 45-60fps.

Is there a small tool to test physx?

I would to compare fps with and without physx enabled.

But if i choose one of the tech demos like dark physics fluids or something,
there is no difference in fps, no matter i choose
    x no acceleration or
    x Geforce physx.

    I tried with 177.79 and 177.35 ....

Wait until Tuesday for that fluid tech demo....your FPS will go from 0.5-2 FPS on the CPU to around 20-25 on your 8800 GTS :)

I have 26 - 16 fps and 60 percent cpu usage on this demo but its the same
    if i disable acceleration....

Is a PhysX card still faster for PhysX than a nvidia gpu?

    Please give an clear answer!

    1) Physx work on my 8800GTS 320MB?

    2) Which Forceware Driver I will need to enable Physx?

    Use 177.79 Beta from Nvidia

    Install PhysX 8.0.7.x

Try it out, either way it wont hurt you

why is there no support for the 7xxx cards? isnt a 7900 close to 8600 :/ is it a hardware issue? or driver issue? or is it cause of no dx10?

I figure it's just because these are the initial releases. I'm sure newer versions will provide better performance.

As the other poster said it only works on cards that support cuda, all geforce 8+ cards have a unified shader architecture which allows them to execute the cuda API.

I've just installed Nvidia PhysX 8.07.18 on my XP with GTX 280
but why does it say in the panel that "No PhysX engine installed"
( I think it will be translated into english, since i have swed lang)

I noticed a increase in performance generally.

Because you dont have a Ageia Physx Card in there.

Nvidia Will update the software to state what card is in there

I have an 8600GT and a motherboard with an 8200 chipset in it. I don't have DVI or VGA ports in the back though, but its capable of hybrid SLI and hybrid power or whatever that one is.

Would it be possible to use my 8200 chipset as some sort of physx type of set up? I don't want to want time setting it up and getting no results.

    Thanks. :)
