Eager to clear stock? To make way for new card release? Who knows.. but quickly ran out of stock .. wonder how soon or if they will be replenished. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/geforce-store/
Being scared to left behind with all new fancy ray tracing thingy (and games) I ordered 1070 (not at NVIDIA) and will insert it into my rig on Monday. I understand that I should buy 1060 but I like the number '7' (judging by all my videocards).
edit: sorry if misleading thread folks, but I now believe the cards do not come in that frequently. Some info posted on slickdeals said some cards would be available today and these are now gone. https://slickdeals.net/f/11402095-p...pu-s-will-be-in-stock-on-nvidia-site-tomorrow
Interesting. Looking at newegg the 1060 6gb's have dropped dramatically over the last couple days. Still a little too high, but at least they're not $800 dollars anymore. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...NE&IsNodeId=1&N=100007709 601204369 600358543
My view on the current GPU prices might be a bit bleak, but what exactly has changed which would stabilize the market prices?
Bit coins are becoming less profitable, or the value has gone down. I'll wait till they have next gen GPU'S.
There are multiple reasons. I for example, just bought a 1060 today. Reason? I really need the upgrade and have the money now. If I don't buy it now, the money will get spent regardless.... I just built a new rig, minus the GPU. 8600k, 16gb 3200mhz RAM...but a 960. At least with a 1060 I can unlock some of that performance. Your avatar is distracting btw
Yeah, im in the same boat. But will probably have to still wait as finances dictate reality. (this is one forum that hasn't made me change it)why I like this place
All models in stock @ MSRP as of today. 1 week ship date. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/geforce-store/
A normal price for a card that has been on the market for 2 years is NOT the MSRP. No way in H#ll i'd Pay MSRP for a 10XX card these days. Any price over that is a slap in the face to us all. Milking the Coin craze all they can. Still not buying any PC parts until the vendors and retailers wake up.
