I used to calibrate my monitor colors using the Nvidia control panel calibration feature but now, on 178.13, it's gone!

What other free software can I use to calibrate my colors? My monitor looks "washed". Preferably a software that does not load up on Vista's task bar.

If you mean the colour settins they are stll there...

If u mean the Abilty to Use the Monitors Settings with Nvidia Control panel, That was never supported and Should never be used. It can permantly Fck up ur monitor.

But i think you mean the usual colour settings in nvidia panel, which are still there in 178.13

Not that. On the display settings there was an option called "run optimization wizard" that helped calibrating the monitor colors. You could see when the driver kicked in on Windows boot.

Monitor drivers and color profiles are good too (and often overlooked)

View>Define Custom View>Display; is 'Run display optimization wizard' checked?

Oh that one, it basically does what color correction does, it's just a wizard that helps to apply it.

Just reduce gamma in color correction, that usually solves the problem of the washed out image on LCD's.

    No. It's not even there.

That's what I did. It helped much but I still liked the Nvidia wizard better.

    I like the wizard also.

I have it in Control Panel with 178.13, maybe you could try re-installing the driver?
