The 660 runs the witcher 3 like garbage, 50fps worth for nothing:

I´ve heard comments of the amd 260 playing this game just fine

Heres my Uniengine benchmark, +165 on mem and +165 on core, older cpu etc etc.( 1163/3665 core/mem in Afterburner when running benchmark )

I dont have the link now, but from the nvidia forums linked earlier in this thread theres links to driver performance of different cards since release compared to now. AMD 290X has an increase in performance of 149%, 780Ti comes out at ~118%. Also there were benchmarks of Gameworks on/off on AMD vs Nvidia cards and 7 series Nvidia cards have next to no difference while AMD cards increase in performance ~45%

Again i havnt got the link, but its in this thread and from there there are benchies posted.

This is my OC'd 780Ti with the same settings( min diff prob due to cpu )

The reason your minimum is that low is because when you transition from scene 17 into scene 18 (the night time scene) your gpu usage will drop to 0% for a fraction of a second. That's why I usually run the bench a few times and post my best result. It's been an issue for a very long time now. I'm surprised nvidia and/or unigine haven't been able to figure out why it does that.

Here is the run yesterday same gpu clocks, 1176/7516, cpu 4.6ghz no ht
    [IMG]

Here I was able to increase my max Valley 1.0 score. I do not think nvidia is doing anything to kepler tbh. The increase was solely do to bringing up the cpu to 4.8ghz ht, my 5300ish was likely done on 5ghz in Feb, 2014. I used to bring her up that high in the olden days for benches.

^the computational capabilities of a 780ti max overclocked should match a 980 except in tessellation and situations of high mem bandwidth the 780ti should win.

This isint the case with benchmarks published for Witcher 3.

I can't honestly say I'm experiencing the same performances ( I'll run a test over the weekend ), but from the published benchmarks there's a discrepancy between the 780ti and the 290/x cards.

Maybe AMD are better in getting the performance from their cards, I doubt it though.

If this is going to end up in a that's the way it is I'm back on team red, I have no allegiance to either but this is a bit of a joke for what I paid - 630euro

There is no way this is due to lack of computational power on the 7 series cards. Having said that it may be CDProject that us to blame but I read project cars is also suffering on the 7 series

We need an official answer from nVidia. Please, push it together!
I need to feel safer to buy nVidia cards.

I do not play those two games, but I do not think amd is any better. Amdmatt in the amd driver section was urging 7970 owners to "upgrade" to a 280x due to the 7970 not having a made up scaler that was the necessary hardware for VSR. All it took was a reg hack for the 7000 series owners to get VSR. Amd`s answer to to nvidia`s DSR.

FYI, HairWorks performance impact can be directly compared with the HairWorks 1.0 Viewer:
    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?p=5074417#post5074417

however the demo seems to be capped at 64fps according to FRAPS so either use the built in hud/stats/compute for comparison
or raise hair density until GPU is 99% utilized (fps start dropping from 64) and compare density value / number of hairs.

Having multiple threads on the same issue is annoying to keep track.
Anyway this is great news :D

Nice to see Nvidia at least acknowledge the fact that Keplers not been feeling the love from recent drivers, let's hope some more performance can be had from these cards.
