Single 780ti 1189/7516. Almost 300 points less than my sli score. Not a very good test for sli with no aa. Not enough gpu stress.

Why are you testing without AA anyways? The point of the test is to stress your GPU.

Somebody mentioned it would be a good comparison, but it did not pan out too well.

I think Vally doesnt use any tessellation, just lots of foliage streaming, so that is not it. Maxwell doesnt have any real advantage there.

Some 970/980GTX user should do Heaven max tessellation test vs OC'ed 780/780TI, and noaa so its so vram limited by any of them. Just to see if that's maybe the issue for this sudden fps drop by some games, for example Witcher3.

Here is a very old valley 1.0 maxed 1080p, quite an improvement over the much newer 350.12 driver.

Here is a very old Heaven 4.0 1080p All maxed tess on extreme. From my old account at imageshack, they got an awful free service.

Here is the sli valley 1.0 maxed I posted earlier in the thread. Though I do not remember the exact clocks in the old benches, cpu included. Wish I did.

And if MS can support an OS such as XP like they did for how many years, then im sure Nvidia can support older gpus.

maxwell has 50% faster Tesselation speed versus the 7series etc...
that could account for the performance drop....

TK i will do my two 970's to your two 780ti's in haven.

Can you test heaven 1080p extreme tessellation benchmark with 1x970gtx no aa, rest ultra.

Edit: this is what I get with those settings @ 1215, 3100mhz

Here's one that I ran the other day before putting in my new stuff. gpu was as default clocks.

    Old Driver

New Witcher 3 driver.... 8X AA

FOR TJ A result with No AA
    [IMG]

my clocks on both are the same. 1504mhz core and 7600mhz mem I have Bios modded my cards... hence the higher than default clocks.

So technically the older drivers performed alot better... i wonder why the witcher 3 driver runs worse on them... pretty fishy.. and perhaps this Haven 4.0 benchmark uses a older style of coding for tesselation mabey nvidia worked with the Devs of the witcher 3 to find a better way to go about it. IDK... For SlI results Ill do them next.

SLI results same speeds as single results earlier.

    SLI 8xAA
    [IMG]

    SLI No AA
    [IMG]

and that 50% better tesselation should be 50% better per core.... Who knows...

So basically a 970 when overclocked is on par with a 780 ti? Or am I reading those heaven results wrong?

thats what im reading at least with this benchmark. who knows for games such as the witcher 3... plus even with these results i am getting an average of 4fps lower with this driver set vs older drivers. for single gpu performance.

I got 3204 maxed 1080p on Heaven 4.0 on an old driver. 780ti sli result. Probably circa 2/2014 when I got them. Prob get less than that now.
Just a little off a new 350.12 bench.

Idk to me it looks more on par with Oc'ed 780gtx, both OC'ed to the max and then 970 pulls ahead a little with 3-4fps on avg, nothing worth mentioning.

780TI oC'ed comes more in line with 980Gtx., like by any benchmark so far.

So this "deliberately" the proof is just a game? 2013 vs 2015. What we would like to happen love to happen is not always what we get. Didnt your mommy ever tell you LIFE IS NOT FAIR! For me I look at when the game was launched and on what other systems. Then when things like this happen you can not toss out the game and run with KNIVES!...oops sorry :) run with OMG IS THE DRIVERS NVIDIA is out to get us.. RUN AWAY! To think NV has the ability to fix the WHOLE games problems with one driver. Gee did the driver just come out? Gee maybe .. lol

The 660 runs the witcher 3 like garbage, 50fps worth for nothing:

I´ve heard comments of the amd 260 playing this game just fine

Heres my Uniengine benchmark, +165 on mem and +165 on core, older cpu etc etc.( 1163/3665 core/mem in Afterburner when running benchmark )

I dont have the link now, but from the nvidia forums linked earlier in this thread theres links to driver performance of different cards since release compared to now. AMD 290X has an increase in performance of 149%, 780Ti comes out at ~118%. Also there were benchmarks of Gameworks on/off on AMD vs Nvidia cards and 7 series Nvidia cards have next to no difference while AMD cards increase in performance ~45%

Again i havnt got the link, but its in this thread and from there there are benchies posted.
