Are you using Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling? This option enabled?
Any improvement in games compared to 450.82?

Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling Enable, Mafia 2 Definitive Edition run better with this driver then 450.82 when PhysX is enable does not drop frames heavy when something blow up showing PhysX.

Batman Arkham Knight only change i saw was PhysX is now showing right and does not flicker when there PhysX smoke, GTA V runs smooth then 450.82 with less frame drops where there heavy grass, Resident Evil 3 runs better in DX 12 for me at least as i saw less frame drops as well HDR is fix in this driver. more testing

Update 2: Shenmue 3, Mortal Kombat 11, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Halo Reach, Halo 1, Halo 2, Devil May Cry 5, Control with Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling enable framerate is more stable then 450.82.

I did see DX 12 titles running better at low framerate (Gsync), does not stutter like crazy at random unlike 450.82. Yakuza 0, 1 and 2 show gains in 4K mode 120 hz with Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling but it's using more vram 6 GB.

Just installed this and Modern Warfare multiplayer is definitely smoother than 450.82. WIll check out WZ later.

For Audio, I had major problems with 1.3.38.26, but both versions of 1.3.38.28 that i tried fixed the issue (was having HDMI audio disappear randomly, mostly on sleep/wake)

1.3.38.28 versions that worked for me: Device Manager showed 27.21.14.5509 or 27.21.14.5516 for "NVIDIA High Definition Audio" device.

Tested in Gears and WWZ fast and the driver seems pretty identical to 450.82. It's kinda hard to believe that turning Async On is -5 average FPS in Gears but that's how it goes on Pascal. It also makes the game more CPU bound.

Asynс On makes the game more CPU bound?
Almost all DirectX 12 games CPU bound.
HW Accelerated GPU scheduling must slightly reduce CPU overhead, driver overhead and API overhead, improve input lag.
With HW GPU scheduling, GPU is less dependent from Windows and API graphics layers, so this is slightly reduce CPU usage.
HW Accelerated GPU scheduling, makes GPU more independent from system component like CPU and software graphics layers.
Maybe, for now, Asynс On and HWA GPU scheduling is in conflict in some scenarios. Nvidia fixed Gears of War 4 with Asynс On almost 2 years... So, maybe this is Microsoft Gears engine fault... maybe they badly implement Asynс On?

actually better fps with these in apex lends on my gtx 1080, but i've seen that the clock speeds are higher on that game, I practically need to deactivate or lower my oc because otherwise the game will crash, normally my gpu is stable at 2038mhz but only on apex legends will go up to 2051 or higher making it unstable.

My 2080 Ti got stuck at the windows login screen after rebooting the PC, performance was great before shutting it down.
I removed the driver using device manager from safe mode and the PC got past the login screen.
I will try to reinstall it, no idea as to what caused Windows to freeze.

Use Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode.
    Install DCH driver
Choose clean install option in installer

I did a clean install of the driver normally, without DDU.
After rebooting the PC this time it got past the login screen without problems.
I tried to scavenge through the event viewer but I couldn't find anything related to the GPU driver.
As long as it keeps working, I guess all is fine.

Question why would people prefer a insider driver over other ones ?

Seems to be the first WDDM 2.7 driver that works well enough (e.g. driver sharpen) to keep it installed.
WDDM 2.7 is really beneficial, as games in fullscreen exclusive mode can't override system gamma ramps anymore (Seems they can still adjust it further? But I'd call that desired behavior.) and thus I can e.g. finally play HotS with Windows night light enabled.

So far, no issues to report (except of a minor r450 flaw that can cause increased brightness after changing display scaling settings in the NV panel without a restart in between).

Same as other 445.xx Game Ready drivers, Image sharpening still not working in some games, rollback to 442.
