With everything that is going on in the world right now, I think if the headline would've been "Nividia to officially raise the dead and start a global zombie/undead apocalypse, in support of new game 'No Leather Jackets in Hell' with Ninja doing 'zany' backing voice overs" I really do not think I would bat an eyelid.

I mean, inflation is a thing here in Denmark at the moment. Massive in fact. So it's nice sitting in a completely stale pay situation for the past 5 years :D not even adjusted for inflation once.

Yup. Right now I'm seeing these prices at retailer:
Gigabyte 3080 10GB with blower cooler, the most basic crappiest version 1400€
    Gigabyte 3080 12GB GAMING OC 2000€

So....the 3070 was £434....yeah right, I got my Msi 3070 pre-order from scan.co for msrp of £539, i ordered it in Oct 2020 and by the time i received it on 20th Dec 2020 the prices had almost doubled.

I could allieviate the price high by sticking a new gpu on my credit card and selling my 3070 for double what i paid...but first there have to be gpu`s available to buy.

The next logical upgrade would be 3080 but at nearly 3 times what i paid for my 3070...and thats second hand, a 3070ti would be doable at £850-900 but 8gig -8gig of ram....no thanks.

Czech republic prices now - cheapest available models, 21% VAT included:
    GeForce RTX 3060 Ti - 1000 EUR
    GeForce RTX 3070 - 1280 EUR
    GeForce RTX 3070 Ti - 1400 EUR
    GeForce RTX 3080 - 1600 EUR
    GeForce RTX 3080 Ti - 2130 EUR
    GeForce RTX 3090 - 2920 EUR

To prices are 2 times Nvidia imaginary price and i guess that after this Nvidia increase they will be even higher.
Good GPUs are now luxury goods, but pesants still could get Geforce 710 with 4 HDMI ports.

Belgium is has about the same ridiculous prices , just about 3 quarters more out of pocket then the cards are ACTUALLY worth
these founders cards aren't even worth the 1500 , let alone 1650 euro now
you're better of waiting a few years to get an older card that's expensive now , get it for a good price

Is not worth anymore to care about MRSP prices... It represents nothing. For me, Nvidia, distributors, scalpers, retailers, can stay with them on the shelfs.

And some people wont because they cant.
And some people still wont even if they can.
But some people will even though they cant.
It is the way of things in life.
But 6900xt for £1350 on OCUK looks a bit of a bargain compared to £2300 for the cheapest 3900

The question is how many hours you need to work to buy a 3090ti. It wil vary alot in different countries :)

Can confirm! AMD prices are similar, so if your GPU dies now, be prepared to pay...

I saw the 3070 on sale for €1000 at one of the e-tailers here today, but yeah, most of the prices are about the same, give or take a €100. A lot depends on the exchange rate, PLN has been up and down like a... well, you get the idea.

When will the world governments open their eyes and ban the use of GPUs for cryptomining?
The prices are inflating EVERYTHING in the economy. Yes, from food to general goods, everything is getting a big price increase because of this BS.
Why? You need GPUs to design parts for planes, ships, trucks, etc, to transport goods. You need GPUs to design parts for machinery to produce tractors to work the fields to produce food.
    Must I say more?
Ban Crypto is not just about gaming.
    When?
Is the world going to have to go through another monetary crisis?
    F me, people are dumb.
