There's a similar thread in the AMD GPU section, so let's have one here as well.

Ampere on 8nm ? 12 pin connectors? Tensor memory compression? NV-cache? Its all in the latest Moore's Law Is Dead video:

Tom has finally caught on that 6x doesn't exist because no foundry has submitted specifications to jdec yet.

The lest the guy could of done is photo shop the gpu to actual have 12 and not 10 less he means actual pins even then there are 80pins there if you count all the sockets pins:rolleyes:

Joke aside the gpu would probably melt if it required that much power providing there would psu powerfull enough.

a x2 8pin gpu can push 400 + watts specially those Im dirty rich dont know what do do with money gpu's people buy can you imagine what 10x 8pin would push? I dont think there a commercial grade psu that would be able to push that, industrial maybe? even then image the cooling need for that psu and gpu

The thumbnail is a joke. Not much to say about that.
As far as the 12-Pin connector, well, as mentioned in all these leaks and rumors, its most likely to be an OEM thing, at first. It has different wiring and can transmit up to 600 watts of power. Which is like 4x the standard 8-Pin. Maybe it makes sense for OEMs ( and even DIY in the future ) to have a single standardized connector that just works for everything, instead of fiddling around with 6-pin, 6+2pin and combinations of those. Especially when building PCs on scale of Dell, HP, etc.
But, we'll see if anything actually comes out of it.

...new (branch) drivers which will nonchalantly make previous GPU lineups SO slow as always happens with nV's .

I'm still happy with 8gb cards (i'm at 1440p), if the 3060 has a decent boost over the 2070S with a decent upgrade in it's RTX capabitilies i may be interested.
Basically whatever CP2077 needs for all RTX at 1440p, (absolute max i'd spend on a GPU is £800)

If you're talking about 60fps, I'm fairly sure there's a chance it will need more than a 3060. If the 3060 can do that at 1440p, AMD should really be careful about how Nvidia sells that capabilities in the future since imho, that would be pretty good strictly tech wise speaking.

I seen the leaked image of the new series supposed power/ performance numbers.
Got my eye on a 3070ti now.
What i currently have is supposedly an inch better than a 3060, probably get spanked in RTX games by one.
