and dropped me far far far away from top20 foldings in guru3d x)

I have some problems with this client.
1. My username and team name do not show up
2. when i click show it always reverts back to 1/1000000
3. only getting 60iter/min
any idea? i have updated my nvidia drivers to the latest
got the new beta drivers and its working great now, done more tonight than my laptop has done in over 5 days......crazy.
just wondering though, is it ok to leave this on a lot or will it damage the card at all?
A little off-topic: deurbel, I was wondering how it was possible for you to run 3 GTXes and a soundcard at the same time? Don't do the three graphics cards obscure all the other slots, among them the only PCI you could connect that X-Fi of yours (BTW- you spelled "Fatal1ty" wrong)? I am asking, because this is one of the reasons against 3-Way SLI for me- I would have to give up my Audigy 2 ZS, but maybe there is a way to keep it then? :3eyes: Hmm, the only thing that comes to my mind is that maybe you have aftermarket coolers on them, for example watercooling, and this way everything fits nicely...
I was having the same problems until I updated my drivers to aircool's modified version.
There is a USB external X-Fi now... could be that ??
same reason I dont have Tri-Sli (I used to have 780Sli) I dont want to give up my X-fi gamers card and the stability of my Abit 680.

The information being processed in these packages could be for anything at all. Surely just because your client shows you a spinning bunch of mollecules, that means you simply must be crunching cancer cures yeah?
Say some defence contractor need some serious crunching power for their own benefit. They could enlist stanford with a bung, and have them send out packets to all the folders in the world. BANG.....£3,000,000 worth of supercomputer use for free
All they have to do is dangle a dream of finding cancer cures and everyone with an ounce of sympathy joins in and devotes cpu cycles.
Kinda coincidental they use the worlds biggest killer which has touched virtually every household on earth (yes those with pc's) as a mask for what they're really getting people to crunch. I mean who hasn't got/had a relative with cancer?
Say you fold 12hrs a day, 300days a year......thats gonna add a fair amount to your electric bill over the 300days. Would you be so happy to donate the same amount of money to finding cancer cures? If everyday when you went to work/school there was a bunch of people standing at the entrance asking you for 50p/$1 would you gladly give them it.....everyday? Then after 6years of giving you still saw NO benefit from it and got cancer and died how would you feel about the stanford group on your deathbed?
I mean Marrie Curie didn't need 10,000,000 folders worldwide with massive amounts of computing power to help her in her discoveries did she? Now we've got all these super clever people at stanford and they provide nothing but distributed computing programs And if they didn't have that they'd be stuffed good and proper for finding cures since they work so slowly.
Makes no sense to me, but then I ain't at stanford
I mean....can anyone name a single disease which doctors (or anyone for that matter) have found a cure for in the last 30years? I ain't talking about a pill that helps to keep the symptoms of a disease at bay.....I mean a cure which actually completely erradicates any disease or virus?

Hi, yes is have the PCI version of the XFI Fatality ( thnx corrected ) but have all watercooled, all chipsets, cpu and the 3 x 8800's so it fits perfectly. Nut to be sure i added some plastic tape i got from work on the backside of the XFI pcb to make 100% sure it won't short circuit or so because its milimeter work...
All gets pretty damn hot to, i need 2 tripple rads and a single an 2 x 80 mm to cool all down, but the b3 q6600 is getting really hot @ 3300 but it still stable...

ive had a couple of lockups (wont come back from screen saver) and while browsing the web the usuall "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding, but has succesfully recovered" a few times.
Only difference from the last week or so is the temp and cuda drivers 177.35(modded inf)
warmer weather and its 84c instead of 79c while folding..
84c is not unusually hot ???
Indeed, just a thought - your thought which no doubt is irrelevant to this topic, but.
Also they wouldn’t be bribed to help process other data, yes it could be possible but it doesn’t. The increase in power usage is hardly crippling (obviously depending on each folders financial position). Also from a scientific point of view they are effectively looking for cures, but not directly as that would mean a lot more input regarding the software's design (a hell of a lot more). Most of the work done is actually related with how the proteins fold and also how they are affected and how this can be controlled for example.
Also cancer isn’t a virus nor disease thus currently it cannot be directly cured as of this second, via conventional means.
Also there are a quite a few cancer suffers which unfortunately I've seen and saw.
It sounds like your just trying to attract negative attention..
Anyway, should be seeing now work units soon 'hopefully' for the GPU2 users.

Yeah it is, damn it; all for good cause though.
The newer 5003 isnt bad, 3400PPD from this is excellent.
Im creeping up on you Aircool better watch your six lol I think this new WU will seperate the cards a bit more im getting 4598ppd on 5003. Id like to know what a gtx user is getting.

ive kinda scewed up a bit, trying to find whats making my pc hang randomly.
I find my sons 8800 GT folds a bit faster than my GTX due to his clock speeds being faster than mine..

sardine what are the speeds on that badboy i got a huge ppd boost out of a shader clock increase. 100mhz netted me like 400 ppd. BTW so not cool dude on the 8800's cranking out WU's unreal lol. I cant hope to keep up

i tried folding on the Mrs laptop (8600 gt) it complained after a few hour that the power supply wasnt giving enough wattage to charge the battery lol.. so that I closed

I'm surprised the 8800gtx only score in the 4000ppd range. My 8800gts scores at 5445ppd... Then again it is overclocked quite a bit. :nerd:
Likely because the GTX (older card) has slow stock clocked shaders, and would see a good increase from a touch of overclocking.
