The performance predictions are based on the now-famous GK110 specifications GK110 GPU from NVIDIA. These were given last week by the manufacturer announced. Next, our scaling analysis nehemen at hand and derive from the GK104 architecture, the expected real-world performance.

whatta load of horse sh1t :D

Just look at the slides... you don't need Google to translate as they're fairly self-explantory IMO. ;)

Having looked at the benchmark slides, it looks like the GK110 is a great chip that is pretty much GTX 680 SLI plus a bit extra (though some games run faster with SLI) on a single chip. Impressive but it looks like I wouldn't have much reason to upgrade to it from GTX 680 SLI unless driver issues became a problem.

I thought GK110 was going to be Tesla card for now and that they were no plans to release it as a desktop card yet?

Of course it will be a geforce variant, but only after Tesla release. I hope they're not gonna skip HyperQ and Dynamic Parallelism, if they do then its nothing special.

    Nice try!

Although i have a feeling it will be something like that in the end. :)

Great performance! I think this will end up as the 700 series and be my next card! :D

Heh .. you'll get the itch to upgrade :p

I wonder, why those predictions are for nVidia cards only? It's a bit strange.

But what is the point of predicting performance of GPU that will come out in 2013 or end of 2012? I can just assume, first, new generation of ATI/AMD cards, then few months latter GK110 (s7xx) that will beat AMD card by 5-10% if they do it properly.

But to be honest, i like that motto AMD had on their site "Start playing, Stop being played" :), i think they removed it long time ago.

I wonder if NVidia can really deliver those kind of performance considering they are already having yield problems with current 28nm GK104s.

By the time it comes out, realistically you should probably be comparing the then 'soon to be released' AMD HD8970 with the GTK110's. Just putting it into perspective.

I don't even get this. How do you get the idea that a card with double the shaders and memory bandwidth gets a lesser score in Dragon Age 2?

This article is horrible. Stop posting this trash here please, it's degrading the quality of the forum.

Yields improve as the process matures. With enough time all the kinks and issues should be ironed out.

If it performs that well, I dont think theres a need for them to release it this year anyway.

What a load of crap, i went in dubious and still came out annoyed lol.

Unless i'm missing something they are comparing a $500 gaming GPU against the specs of a $2000 Tesla one and trying to guess what a gaming one would be like, when surely if the gaming one does appear, it will be end up being a cut down GK110?
