We all have seen the GeForce RTX 3080 and 3080, but NVIDIA still keeping the 3070 under wraps. Well, it surfaced in a photo, and it seems the faster a graphics card is, the bigger it needs to be.... NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Founders Edition Shown again, has more normal Cooling
As always, FE cards are a myth in my country. Tried the nvidia europe shop again out of curiosity, and all it does is redirect me to retailers that sell only custom cards... ("sell", as in they show up, but are not in stock of course).
There are already games where 11GB isn't enough at 4k (Ubisoft ones, mostly, but mods for Bethesda games can easily hit well over 11), so yes. But that's what DirectStorage is for.
Kinda sucks that only the 3090 gets Sli. 2 3080s would crush a single 3090 so that's why they don't allow it?
Well if the 3080Ti is a cut down 3090 with only half Vram then why bother. 3080=8000+ cudas vs 3090=10000+ cudas so you think they will chop some off and make a 3080Ti with 9000+ cudas and 12gb of Gddr6X. I'd go with 3070Ti as i already know it's coming and it's close to 3080 and having 16gb of Vram. Now if that's the case then Ti versions must be at least double Vram. Which makes me believe that 3080Ti won't be a cut down 3090 at all but a beefed up 3080 with 20gb of Vram. This gen could get very confusing if they start making S/Ti versions. Maybe 3rd party companies will want to put doubled up Vram chips on board so changing them from 1gb chips to 2gb chips. Then where does that leave Nvidia? Jensen said that companies could totally modify the 3000 series cards themselves.
