    Lots of peeps...

I call BS on these drivers. If these were the real deal I doubt NV would release them going by the performance of them in the other thread. NV might be slow but they're not retards.

32-bit is DEAD! I haven't even touched a 32-bit OS in two years! I guess it will take Microsoft to stop releasing operating systems in a 32-bit flavor to finally kill it because the average consumer loves to hold back technological innovation (just look at all the people still running XP).

32bit is not dead, plenty of people still use it, please stop talking nonsense.

32Bit is far from dead. The "average consumer" is not what prevents innovation. The lack of available native software is hindering the 64bit conversion more than the "average consumer". MS, as a company, has to release products the consumer wants and as long as all software is 32bit native, the consumer will want a 32bit OS. Running 32bit software on a 64bit OS doesn't push most consumers to make the change. Running 32bit software on a 64bit OS doesn't impress anyone because the performance gains that are possible with 64bit native software can't exist.

    6 year old tech.

I think you guys misunderstand me. It's one thing to retain 32-bit systems (they most certainly still have plenty of functionality) but it's continued development is holding us back.... though I will hand it to Microsoft they've made the crossover much easier with the advent of Windows Vista/7.

But you dont and shouldnt have to use it anymore because most compatibility problems are gone with modern technology and you get more compatibility out of a 64-bit OS. A single core will still work under a 64-bit OS. its mostly memory addressing that changes.

because the 256 drivers are only meant for the new geforce cards, i am sure nvidia will jump to the 198 drivers soon.
