GeForce Hotfix display driver version 431.18 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 430.86. This Hotfix driver addresses the following:
    • Fixes BSOD after waking ASUS GL703GS/Asus GL502VML notebook from hibernation
    • Shadow of the Tomb Raider may experience a game crash or TDR when launching game on Pascal GPU
    • Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Benchmark quits when running with ray tracing is enabled
    • Grand Theft Auto V may experience flickering when MSAA is used

I’m on v435.27 which has the VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) option in Windows Settings > Graphics and I have enabled so I don’t want to install this new driver particularly as the current one has been working fine. However, I do hope that the next official driver is a v435.xx build rather than another v431.xx because that likely won’t have the VRR option.

With 435.27 the color profile for my desktop does not reset after running a game and the brightness or gamma is jacked up until I reboot. You aren't experienceing that issue Darren?

I have the same issue; I think it has more to do with the latest Windows 10 update than the Nvidia driver. The NV control panel crashes every time I try to manually change the colour settings; only a reboot fixes it.

I'm on the latest preview now because of the latency issue and it does the same on this build. So, it goes across 1903 builds and the pre-release builds.

Users with this issue say turning off fast startup fixes the issue.

Turn off DSR, fix it for me.
Doing color settings first , then DSR , works fine for me.

I don't use colour profiles except for having the ROG Swift PG279Q one set as the default. I haven't noticed anything unusual when exiting games.

I'm on the same boat as you. Are you using any dll injection like reshade perhaps? People on geforce forum swear that turning off fast startup fixes it but I have tried everything and color profile is still broken after exiting full screen games. A simple workaround I found is to press "Windows Key+Ctrl+Shift+B" to reset the display driver; It takes a fraction of a second and the color profile is set correctly after it.

Usually playing in Borderless retains the colour setting.

I also haven't noticed anything unusual with the colors in the games and on the desktop.
