I play Tombraider on a 670 averaging 70+ FPS without TressFX and 50+ with TressFX. I guess this means the card " can't handle it "

Its not gonna happen guys, People will buy these new cards by the bucketload.

Nvidia could of easily released the Titan with the SMX shader enabled but no they want to milk it somemore and that is what they will do, Just keep on milking it:)

Anything below 60fps (actually these days with my monitor OC it's 65fps), yeah anything under 60fps means it can't 'handle' it imo (Leaving out game engine issues of course, like Borderlands 2 Overlook for ex.) at least for me i like everything ultra apart from AA, Blur and some other post processing effects.
It's a lot easier for me to max a game than it is for others who go for the AA and Post. If you got for that then these things have to be factored in too.
Basically if the effects you like make it so the game dips below 60fps then no, it's not handling it, what it'll be doing is flatlining.

So people running 600 series cards in Sli are having a hard time maxing out newer titles as well? Just asking as some ppl aren't saying nice things about them in this thread, when the one I have seems perfectly fine :( I'm even considering getting another one.

So they're going to release a full GK110 Geforce but they never managed it with Tesla? I'll believe it when I see it.

If it does happen, yeah it's a bit annoying but this kind of thing happens all the time. You buy the best you can afford, that's always been the rule. It's not the best forever, that's another truism.

the 600 series does sli mode the best outta the previous two series, beats the 500 and 400 series for smoothness. At least on a gen3 mobo /cpu.

Sure they will but i was referring to vcards in general, the upcoming 780 for ex. well i ain't interested (unless a game needs it) but if i do need a new card then i ain't going over £750.
What i'll do is sell my pc and go for a nice long holiday and get laid and give up playing kids games for good.
    sry for doubler.

I wouldnt put it past Nvidia to release a fully fledged Dual Titan just like the 690 in a years time or even less!

Anything is possible with the way Nvidia are evolving gpu technology atm.

The advancements there making atm is almost like there revolutionizing the evolutionary process of advancement.

Gaming is a big part of my life and has been since i was a nipper, I dont think i could ever stop gaming even though i get pissed off with the amount of new generic stuff that keeps getting churned out.

We've been through this.... Not everything is possible I'm afraid. 48 RAM chips on a single gfx card? Not gunna happen.

@SLI-756 maybe you just need a break from gaming.
Go on holiday have fun, come back and carry on where you left off:).

Wow. Not with prices like these Nvidia, forget it. Maybe its time to look at AMD in the near future...

ps: The problem is that nvidia has already set a precedent for a 1000 dollar High-End video cards and AMD will follow them pretty soon. Future doesn't look good in terms of prices for the the high-end market.

Then nVidia will respond with the more reasonably priced 700 series.

Actually it will be AMD 9000 series VS Maxwell,

sadly... makes me question purchasing this gcn2 8970, but i want a new gpu soon and i know it will be faster then any GTX Titan and cheaper too, so this is good :nerd:

btw AMD 9000 is Vulcanic Islands.

And the value of the first Titan cards drops like rocks....... Pay $1000USD and up, just to have the value bombed by NVidia. I'll wait until Maxwell. If NVidia's performance estimates are right, it'll outperform Titan rather easily...and for much less money...

I don't know much about UK shoppers and what sites they typically use, but I went to the NVIDIA where-to-buy UK and clicked a few random sites (only one i recognized was amazon.co.uk) and they were all out of stock as of 12:55pm EST 4/22/2003
