Though I actually already added these numbers into our 1080 review yesterday, apparantly today it is news. On it's webpage Nvidia posted some specs and these now include clock frequencies as well  A...

Looks interesting ... might be my next upgrade.
Just hope they haven't cut it down TOO much.

So I assume they're not pulling a 'split memory' trick this time around like the 970?

One would hope they've learnt their lesson and would announce such a Vram arrangement before launch and not let it be found out after people have purchased them.

I wish Nvidia would stop teasing us (don't blame them...) and show their GTX 1060 already.

They might reveal more information about other cards during Computex Next month.

They have no reason to do that split Vram thing again because of the memory architecture/technology difference between the 1080 and the 1070. Also they probably did learn their lesson because of the huge backlash they gotten with the 970s.

Not a bad boost clock. I am hoping the 1070s are just as Overclockable as their predecessor was.

Really nice card. Retail perf. of 980-Ti at 350$, it's a deal.

Hopefully it will be a 4/8GB version.

Didnt the first leak said 1060 will be a 6GB, not 4/8?

I really can't wait for the release of the custom GTX 1070's with it's 8gb, this gpu will be perfect for me as a game in 1080p.
Right now i am running a HD 7750 2gb as i sold my GTX 770 about a month ago.
I might be getting an MSI gaming (If it comes with a backplate) or Gigabyte also depending on the factory overclock.
I am pretty sure this card will overclock the same as the GTX 1080 as they are both based on the same GP104 GPU.

That's an odd number for a boost. :D

I'm quite confident it'll match or beat GTX980Ti.

Will probably match/tradeblows in certain resolutions/games. Higher resolutions the 980Ti should come ahead.

Doesn't seem very high to me. My OC'd 960 hits 1500 easily

    ?

On OC'd 1070 will hit 2.1ghz quite easily. Doesn't seem very low to me.

I'm curious if they will limit the OCing potential on it, in addition to the other cutting down vs 1080. My 970s were crazy OCers, if 1070s are the same, they sure will be a good buy.

Specs look a little unimpressive compared to the gtx 980 it looks like it might sit between gtx 980 and the ti. Either way performance to $ looks like it will be a beast of a card compared to what's out now.

Contemplating selling my 980 and picking one of these up then maybe another in a few months for sli, figure that should keep my rig relevant enough for the next couple of years.
