192bit is the reason for 3 and 6, but 3 should not exist in a world like this, unless it's super cheap which it won't be.

I think 1060 will bury RX480 alive, with the PCI Express slot issues it does not making any favor, even if 1060 will be 10% faster but 20% more expensive, people will buy it over RX480, giving nvidia amazing reputation amoung high end cards.

maybe 10-15% faster, & 20% more expensive (vs an 8gb 480) basically guaranteed as a baseline for the 3gb card. thats not a 480 killer by any stretch of the imagination. r6 siege & doom both easily surpass 3gb framebuffer at 19x10, theres no way ill consider a vram sidegrade.

ive owned plenty of team green gpus but this wont be one of em.

Either wait for 1070 to be cheaper or wait for Vega, prices should stabilize by that time.

Upcoming Nitro 480 have an 8pin, problem gone. People should stop mumbling about it. Looking at those specs 1060 will not be at 980 level, more likely around 970.

192bit/3GB sounds like a future proof gaming card?

Let's say the 1060 is faster than the 480 when it comes out. To me it's a better card. I would not buy the 480 because maybe in 3 years time it'll be 10% faster. Only an idiot would do that.

Found it's way to a finnish store page this gpu. Muropaketti.com reported. Seriously that can't be the price (well it can it is Finland in the end and it is 100€ less then 1070). And will change for sure :D preliminary prices are silly.

eclap, lets wait to see how the prices are; i dont see the 1060 panning out with a strong price:performance ratio. if nvidia prices them more aggressively than the 1070s for instance then ill revise my statement

1070 in the UK has the same price/performance ration as the 480. My guess is the 1060 will be a £279 product though.

Niether does RX480, it have an edge in DX12 games, but they are far from being the center of gaming.

AMD AIB might turn the tide, but who knows? im not impressed by RX480 at all, now let's see the crippled 1060 in show.
