my gpu is a zotac gtx 1060 6GB. I have it connected to my Dell Latitude E6530 laptop, adobe premiere asks me to update the drivers in order to use the GPU for video processing. When I try to update the GPU drivers my laptop does not recognize it and I stop seeing the signal on the external monitor.

PS: excuse my English, it is not my native language. Thank you

What type of connection between Dell Latitude E6530 and GTX 1060 we are talking about here, some type of external GPU enclosure? More info and links needed...

I know this adaptors exist, but never had a chance to see or work with it.

Did you tried to remove current GeForce drivers in Windows Safe Mode using DDU? Then install new GeForce drivers 461.40 for GTX 1060 either by offical installer or via Device Manager (unpack driver installer EXE via 7Zip and then via Device Manager manualy update graphics drivers with those unpacked in folder somewhere on HDD or SSD).

I had already done it before as you suggest and I have not solved the problem. It is contradictory because when I install version 372.54, which is the one that comes on the installation disk, it works well (I have been able to play games at max resolution such as A WAY OUT), but adobe premiere does not recognize it with that version of the driver.
