Maybe it is due to me having only 3gb vram, i was testing the game on max settings and seeing what difference between dx11 and 12
    dx11 is fine

If that is only thing, why not just remove power data.
Once your GPU is setup, you really don't need it.

I only used or really needed power data for bios editing of power and setting the slider in AB, once done and you're not hitting a limit it is kind of a waste.
I also set my polling rates lower than defaults for fan and monitoring.

Thread cleaned a bit, let's not do the personal attacks okay? Back on topic please, that is driver discussion for the ones that forgot that ;)

I don't care if you like me or not so feel free to, I dunno, go and cry?

But again, it's you two who are getting into fights in this thread, not me. And it's you who need to change your attitude because your post is the perfect illustration of what "condescending" means. You're nobody and thus you don't get to tell me what to do.

Nice to see another fan (alt?) jumping out of the bushes just to say how much he hates me, btw. Makes me confident in keeping my course right like it is now.

10ms per sensor is not ideal, but not that bad too. If total polling time for all enabled sensors is within 20-30ms range, I'd say that it is acceptable.

    • No more of this behavior.
I know. If you cared the least bit of common decency on the internet, you would. But alas, we are all anonymous so we can be as bitter as we please, right?

    Cry? See my initial post.

Compared to your online persona (this is not the only forum I've seen your belligerent behaviour) I wouldn't call this fighting, but I'd call this an intervention.

    No.

Why are you so getting offended when someone tells you to have some common decency and respect for others? Why resort to this "do you know who I am, you are nobody" approach?

I'm not a sockpuppet. Your behaviour in this thread was the last straw for me to create an account here. Somebody needed to tell you that it's okay to be wrong sometimes. Many people get along and live with it instead of getting all riled up.

Please, for the love of God, stop being an arsehole to people. You have vast knowledge about graphics technologies yet you are an eyesore to read.

Exactly. As of right now you have two posts on this forum which are nothing but useless personal insults in a thread about a new driver. Your contribution as of right now is just noise and shitposting.

Here, let me show you a way out: don't read my posts. Problem solved? Good luck.

Driver running Watch Dogs 2 and Witcher 3 great at 4K, shadows low, capped at 44fps adaptive vsync now due to Spectre fix on cpu...had them capped at 48fps before.

I found something interesting with the new features in AB. The polling time is around 5-10ms for power (<1ms for everything else) even on the older drivers it's around 5ms... It's only causing stuttering on the new ones. So, it seems that the stuttering is not about how long it takes to return from the poll, but about freezing up the card in the meantime.

Naturally, I've turned off power monitoring until the driver bugs are fixed again. It's a workaround, not a fix. The 390 series drivers are all broken. Refer to the first 390 thread for many reports of this issue.

I set my polling rates higher for a smoother graph, and use interpolation to avoid heavy load. It's in the cfg file if you're interested.

That can be the case if NVIDIA tried to implement some form of async power sensor polling in newer drivers.

391.05 was the only driver that gave me TDRs in Firefox and now on this driver they are gone. I had never had them before so I was worried my system was unstable. Good thing it was just a crappy nVidia driver. Man, these nVidia drivers have just sucked since I got my 1070 Ti. Seems like there is always something going on. It feels to me like my 980 had way, way, way less problems. Oh, well. Hope these are good.

I've never experienced any Firefox issues on any drivers. Maybe because I use Firefox developer edition.

I may have spoke too soon actually. After installing these drivers I loaded my most recent save which was in a tomb and it ran great. However once I exited the tomb back out in the open world the stuttering started to happen again. I guess back to DX11.
