I'd rather stay with the old UI. Developers always screw those things up, creating a mess instead of a better interface. Windows 10 is the prime offender.

Every 390 driver has had the power monitoring stutter for me so far. I can barely be bothered to install this, but since afterburner now has a feature to pinpoint these issues, I guess I'll install it just to test AB.

    INB4 rollback to 388.84.

Dont fix something that isn't broken. Its simple, works well and does its JOB.

There was only one UI change in AMD driver since early 2000s and it's highly debatable if it's for the better - it is working faster, yes, but I absolutely don't like how it looks.

Hmm, the whole responsiveness of the UI is far more important to me. The current NVCP is not loading that fast enough.

No Firefox TDRs here on 60b5. No TDRs on previous couple of drivers and on last 59 betas and 59 release either.

v58 should have blacklisted the setting for it from what I remember so that might be why but it's good to see NVIDIA fixing the problem in the drivers too. :)

    I'll have to check that.

    EDIT:

(Some Layers setting for Windows 7 I believe from another bugzilla topic and then specific driver blacklisting.)

Could be related to low-spec machines using too high settings or something? I've not had a single CTD in 10hrs.

I just moved back to FF, starting with 58 and I am on 390.65.
The first week of use I had one day, the driver reset few times, then after a few days it did it once and been good so far.
I am on 59.01 (whatever latest non beta).

PS only way I knew was checking event-viewer as couldn't tell other wise.

Page flickers when the user part of the driver crashes. And if it's a long page then you may get empty space after scrolling up or down unless you reload it. But generally I don't see what's the fuzz is about as such crashes are hardly even noticeable most of the time. I mean ok, they shouldn't happen and it's good that they've fixed or at least tried to fix them. Not a big issue anyway.

for me it IS a big issue, as it happens more than once a day, every day.
and while firefox is fine after a driver crash, other 3D applications running in the background (games, virtual machines) crash too.
