I wonder if this new drivers are even worth downloading because the last drivers i´ve tried from Nvidia were complete crap. So bad that my system would crash and reboot randomly... So now i´m "stuck" with 384.94 drivers that work like a charm.

Nvidia´s drivers quality have gone downhill in the last 3 or 4 years and now they are decent at best... Very disappointing from Nvidia´s part...

    Yess! :D

I guess it's all about the famous CTD in FFXV. I doubt Nvidia will ever fix it.

If true, those fixes will make man people happy I believe. The middle one's my personal favourite, let's see if this works.

I thought crashes in FFXV happen because of system memory leak, no? Had plenty of those but not a single one connected to GPU in 57 hours.

MPCHC freeze on playback start is fixed. Don't have Gsync monitor to test the second one and haven't seen TDRs in FF for a month or so anyway.

No need to use MBAM with Eset , Eset has all the protection , so they conflict.

That's good. I wasn't bothered by FF crashes either but there's been lots of talk about it here.

    What is CUDA version like?

    I saw 388.84 used newer then all current 390.xx and 391.01, 391.05.

    Ah ok, thanks.

So its still older and the same like any 39x.xx. Wonder why they stuck with this cuda 9.1.84 instead of higher 9.1.139 version like by 388.84, hmm idk what's with newer 389.10 atm.

Dunno about CUDA, barely use it, but overall driver feels like a proper release with pretty significant fixes so maybe give it a go?

At this point its starting to look like the Surround +1 issue using the HB Bridge is simply not going to get fixed. Pages and pages on the forums and no help from nVidia. Hope AMD can get back in the high end.

Glad they addressed the Firefox TDR, only time will tell me though if it's really fixed. Lost out on RL fan rewards because of that crash, you need to be online for an hour before rewards can be won so when it's TDRing you lose that hour of being logged in.

Uhh ... I can't play any videos at all in MPC with madvr now :p mpc 1.7.15 and madvr 0.92.12. I keep getting access violations.

Just tried Kodi DSplayer (madvr basically) and it crashed too wtf.

MPC with EVR or VLC player working normally.

Went back to 390.77 and it's working normally again.

    edit: fixed it.

Manuel, apparently the Gsync + Windowed mode works well now. THANK YOU! I will do more testing and report tomorrow.
