Good drivers. Fixed an issue i was having with TXAA corruption in Rainbow 6 Siege at 50%
Having free memory is a good thing. Otherwise, you start hitting the page file on the drive, which as you know, is many times slower. System memory usage and GPU utilization are not analogs.
Pretty solid drivers. Hope it stays this way.
Sigh. My 16gb are never full so free memory issnt any good. Pagefile never gets used but games and programms that need the use of it. And also there is still ram cache.. which also gets cleared automatically and giving resources to the newer process.
Like he said, all those programs reducing ram load and clearing ram cache..utterly garbage.
In my case the idle temperatures increased by 2-3° Celsius.
I returned to the previous iteration with the Quadro 392.00 (modified for Geforce) and the temperatures of my cards returned to normal.
These are very nice; much nicer than .07. Not as fast as 397.64, but BFV didn't run on them. Nonetheless, keepers. The only diff I can see is in benchmarks. Gaming is very smooth.
May I know what does it mean by this issue?
Is it TDP monitoring under GPUZ and Hwinfor64?
Windows will avoid swapping to pagefile unless it has to, and automatically clears data it can evict from main memory to make room for new programs as required. If swapping to page is slowing your system down, then you don't have enough physical memory to do what you want to do.
I think related to MSI:AB, AIDA64, GPU-Z, HWiNFO64 & etc..
Basically, it means any software that monitors the TDP of the drivers will get hit by very high CPU usage for that sensor.
So easy test is to start MSI AB, set the profiler polling graph up and note the TDP rates against other sensors, it's magnitude higher and this can cause smoothness issue's for some.
Same here, framerates are not as stable as 397.64(big drops and jumps) but overally probably best driver since.
Anyone else notice that the nVidia colour vibrance setting does not persist with this driver? It defaults to 50% when I go into games and come out of them and also when I put the computer to sleep and wake it up. Everything looks muted and even though it is set to 75% in the control panel I have to go back in all the time and slide it to another value then back to 75% and hit apply.
Is there any way around this? I have had this with previous drivers and I really don't like it. Other than that this driver is really smooth and very good in all other aspects. This one little issue is really annoying me though.
I was saying that as a positive, just letting you know lol
Im setting 55% right after installing a new driver and with this driver its working fine like with all those before. And since you said you have the problem with previous drivers, too and were asking if anyone else have the same problem with this driver you can pretty much say, its not the drivers fault?
Well I have had the problem in the past with a driver here and there but I would say that 95% of the drivers I have used have not had this issue so I don't know if it would be specific to my machine if comes and goes between drivers and not hardware or other software changes. Unless, of course, I am missing something.
Very high temps for idle. Repaste your GPU+ clean the heatsinks + clean your case. What cooling you have on your GPU? Also I assume room ambient has changed?
So it seems to be "official" that this is the new go to driver set?
Seen very positive feedback.
No temp difference on my custom zotac cooler.
ugh, not this bs argument.
Free ram is perfectly fine,
Unless its actually caching things, i want my ram free so i don'th ave to dump to page just to switch applications.
