btw what's all this paranoia with INT vs US driver, both are identical,. International has extra languages in it nothing more. I have my OS set to Eng. with my language locale and it still installs Eng. driver.

Quadro driver was always only INT and no one whined about that. :nerd:

BF4 with 150% resolution is like playing in 2880X1620. Tested DSR in 2880x1620. So:

    Resolution scale in game 150%

    DSR at 2880X1620

You cannot see any really difference in image quality dut the performance hit is big:

    • 94 fps with resolution scale and 1.3GB Vram
    • 86 fps with DSR and 1.6GB Vram

if you zoom really really close you can see slightly better with DSR but the performance hit is really big for what it offers comparing eith the ingame setting.

    Zoom in resolution scale 150%

    Zoom with DSR at 2880X1620

You sure about that ? Because once it freezes I see the AI.exe stopped responding and nothing happens unless I close the app manually.

I'll try to...wait but I don't think it will fix anything.

I won't roll back for a single game, that's not an acceptable "fix".

Got GeDoSaTo working with SweetFX on Final Fantasy XIV: (DSR has some serious framerate issues as of 344.48 on my GTX970 G1 even if i have DSR enabled on nVIDIA CP but not in-game)

Make sure you have created a "ffxiv" profile before in GeDoSaTo, go to GeDoSaTo folder:
    Code:
    GeDoSaTo\assets\dx9
    Copy "post.fx" into:
    Code:
    GeDoSaTo\config\ffxiv
Open GeDoSaTo "Edit Postprocessing", select ffxiv profile and edit the values manually, write the values just like in your SweetFx_settings.txt
Open GeDoSaTo "Edit Keybindings" scroll down and find "#togglePost VK_NUMPAD4", change to "togglePost VK_NUMPAD4".

You can change the key by replacing the part NUMPAD4 with something else, mine is VK_F12 -- SweetFX Default should be ScrollLock or Insert, try writing those (without spaces), for example: VK_SCROLLLOCK and see if it works.

Don't forget to remove all SweetFX files you've extracted for FFXIV.

    Bonus:

GeDoSaTo.ini for Final Fantasy XIV (i play at 1440p).

    Code:
    # Lines starting with "#" are ignored by GeDoSaTo and used to provide documentation

    # This is a profile file for ffxiv

    ## Rendering Resolution
    # can't select res in-game so write it here
    clearRenderResolutions
    renderResolution 2560x1440@60

    # The type of scaling you want to use.
    # bilinear: what GPUs generally do, cheap performance-wise
    # bicubic: higher quality, more expensive performance-wise
    # lanczos: higher quality and sharp, most expensive performance-wise
    # nearest: extremely cheap, generally ugly, but useful to upsample retro games
    scalingType Lanczos

    ## Required settings, don't change
    maxScreenshotParallelism -1
    forceRenderRes true
    #forcePresentRes true

    ## Post

    # Enable Postprocessing
    # false = off
    # true = on
    # For in-depth configuration, look in "assets/post.fx" or "assets/post_asmodean.fx"
    enablePostprocessing true

    # Postprocessing type
    # durante = basic postprocessing adapted from SweetFX (dark, local contrast)
    # asmodean = postprocessing by Asmodean (with tone mapping, softer)
    # For in-depth configuration, look in "assets/post.fx" or "assets/post_asmodean.fx"
    postProcessingType durante

    # AA type
    # either "smaa" or "fxaa", depending on your preferences
    aaType smaa

    ########################################################################################
    # Mouse settings
    # you may have to play around with these a bit to get mouse input working correctly
    # while downsampling in some games

    # Modify the mouse position reported by "GetCursorPos" when downsampling
    modifyGetCursorPos true

    # Modify the mouse position set by "SetCursorPos" when downsampling
    modifySetCursorPos true
if you want to try an Higher res (if it even works) don't copy the following:

    Code:
    # can't select res in-game so write it here
    clearRenderResolutions
    renderResolution 2560x1440@60

    IT WORKED !!!!!!!

    Thank you !

The little circle froze 30 seconds then the area loaded perfectly.

    That is incorrect.

    http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=66551296&postcount=7248

i haven't tried this with GeDoSaTo, it might have been that the huge performance hit was also because of broken DSR on FFXIV

Just a note that image becomes kinda blurry with all this AA, but can be easily fixed by raising SweetFX sharpness.

I have noticed this too. So many people report instability but I never get that.

I can see bugs occasionally but that is different.

    Your tests are flawed imo.

Look at your VRAM usage, clearly higher on the DSR shots.
Look at the zoomed in screenshot, DSR clearly better.

That indicates to me that the test isn't the same in terms of number of pixels being rendered, or whatever it is....something is clearly different.

Also compare to DSR to regular driver downsampling (not something thats built into a game engine so quire clearly will be optimzed for that game) that would be interesting to see.

DSR is better as far quality compared in game settings (resolution scale with same terms) but not as much for the performance hit. Playing BF4 for a long period i can tell the difference and you wont zoom the pic while in game in online fps game :)

i will stick to DSR for now because i really want to use it in BF4. Its a very nice option.

I wish we could control DSR more then just sharp or smooth - e.g. controlling how many filtering "taps" it uses. If default is 13tap then idk min 3tap and max 13tap.

Yeah i love it in BF4 aswell. DSR > resolution scale in terms of IQ at the same fps, no doubt.

PS. I was kinda hoping you would do some tests, DSR vs Driver Downsampling tbh, considering you are on older hardware. Just a little intrigue of mine.

Myself and Tnecniv have shown here here and here that DSR is only a couple of % (or fps) slower than generic downsampling or GeDoSaTo.

We are using Maxwell hardware though.

Hi, Nvidia has to optimize the effects Physx for Borderlands The Pre-Sequel, at first everything works fine, but when you go outside and start killing the enemies that drop green liquid, the framerate drops to 40 fps, I do not think this game is so demanding, if I turn off Physx effects the game is perfect but it looks so empty and bland that I take away the desire to play, to see if we have a Physx update to enhance these effects that I personally look amazing.

Low-end here, reporting loss of performance in benchmarks (Novabench) and games (BF3) here with this driver.

Except people are telling you why; and, more to the point, the cards in question are factory overclocked.

Nobody is "blaming nvidia"; however, it is just a fact of life that some drivers don't get along with some systems. Just because you don't have issues doesn't mean it's user error.

Generically speaking, people really disliked the 318.22's. My card loved them and to date, they're the fastest smoothest set I've run. If they worked with shadowplay I'd be using them today. Does that mean anyone who had problems with them was just "blaming nvidia" for user error?

You can call BS if you want.

But installed drivers, started to play some payday 2 to test out DSR. Then black screen like a driver crash. Reboot PC, Card fans don't spin up, and computer bleeps like a lack of video card. [Tested it on 3 systems, with different configurations]

So I talked to gigabyte and they're going to test the driver internally awhile sending me a new card.

This highly annoying and notice on desktop take any DSR factor set desktop resolution and DSR factor, Open NVCP mouse over the START BAR over the NVCP tab and you will see the mouse is warping/distorting a box of it dont happen to everything but it happens and it annoying highly annoying in games that it happens in.

This effect cant be screenshoted/video captured, tested on 2 computer and 3 different screens they all do it. i also not only person to see this Anarion has seen this too, I reported this at nvidia forums but got no clue if nvidia is aware of this.

This ruins DSR for me other wise i like it makes SKYRIM/DEUS EX/AVP even Swtor look great, but swtor suffers from this mouse having warping effect around it. please fix it

It is an updated audio driver that supports Miracast on devices with proper Miracast support. If your computer did not specificy Miracast support, it likely won't support Miracast.

4K ShadowPlay recording is limited to 980/970 for now since those two cards have a newer NVENC hardware encoder.

just ignore my report ManuelG the lest you can do is atlest acknowledge this so i know nvidia is looking in to this, consider DSR was one of main attraction for this release.
