    Ok now it shows fine after DDU, but for that I have to keep Ryse Son of Rome @ default, if I import 344.24 customized profile it reverts to default 0x000000, but at least its here now. :)

    Windows 8 / 8.1 users - modded INF's will not work with Windows 8 because it verifies driver signatures that will not match to the modded INF. You have to go into Test Signing Mode to get any unsigned modded INF's to work, but that can mess up your PC as it did mine at some point.

    Here is how to get into that mode in case you still want to try:

    Create a .TXT file, copy and paste the lines below, then save the file as a .BAT and launch it:
    @echo off
    bcdedit /deletevalue loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECK
    @echo off
    bcdedit /deletevalue TESTSIGNING ON
    @echo off

    To use modded drivers, you will have continue using that mode or else the driver won't load if you try to boot normally. There is also a tool called DSEO that supposedly lets you self-sign the drivers, but it never worked for me and many others. Good luck! I'll just wait!

    Nope, I only ever have 1 or 2 games installed at a time so I don't bother with it. I just use DDU every time and check "Perform a clean installation" when I install the driver.

    Edit: Nevermind, I didn't see your followup post.

    These installed perfectly fine using the modded inf pasted on first page on Windows 8.1 x64.
    Same goes with previous mobile drivers..
    What i do is start windows in Safe Mode run DDU also checked to remove Nvidia folders,
    once back in desktop i restart Windows again and select to disable Driver Signature Enforcement.
    Then once back in desktop i go to my C: drive to where i extracted the drivers with the modded inf and start setup.
    During installation after i get the message that windows cannot verify ....warning,
    i select to install this driver software anyway.
    That's all and drivers get installed just fine ,i also reboot after installation as always.

    ^ Really dude,this is not my first time when I install some nV modded drivers...also I`m using W10 TP,but the 344.24 are just fine with this version of Windows,so maybe is the .inf that is bad/doesn`t have the right stings for the GTX 980..maybe,dunno,but I`ll wait for a better version.A new desktop driver will be released soon anyway.

    You can find a working link off of the Station Drivers homepage.

    Just out of curiosity, is there something in these drivers worthy of all this angst?
    I like to fudge around with new drivers as much as anyone but???

    Yes.

    Maybe they have better CUDA - direct compute, since its newer vs 344.11 or 344.24.

    apparently, just not mine, lol. As soon as I click on "Install this software anyway" it fails.
