Microsoft came out a new build today. Windows 10 Build 14393.51. Not sure will it help.
    Download here:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12387/windows-10-update-history

    Patch notes here:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3176495

Hopefully it helps the people with installation problems. Not sure will it help the DPC problem. shrug

Then why does AMD use 1.0.17 and nv only 1.0.8 if its just "grammar" fixes?

That's because DXGI 1.5 was released with 1607 update.

That's my current theory as well. Changes to DXGI usually prompt for changes in WDDM as well.

Because, as with DX12, Vulkan is of highest priority for them as they are completely unable to provide good drivers for DX11 and OpenGL. On NV's side it's less of a priority as their OpenGL performance is more than solid already. We have like 1.5 games using Vulkan right now. Can't see how it's important to add superfluous stuff from Vulkan's 1.0.x updates. Support for VK 1.1 on the other hand will be important.

Here, check it for yourself: https://github.com/KhronosGroup/Vulkan-Docs/blob/1.0/ChangeLog.txt

Well I hope so.. So far I saw quite a few fixes there in those release notes.

    Meh

I'm sure if any of the fixes brought about radical improvements to the game Nvidia would have implemented them. ID is working with Nvidia on getting Async up, probably on Pascal, along with Vulkan improvements to Nvidia cards in general -- I'm assuming there is a separate driver branch Nvidia is working with on doing that internally. Most likely when that work is done, the driver that it ships with will have the updated Vulkan builds.

99% of those release notes are clarifications and fixes in the specification text, not new features or actual behavior changes in the spec.

Got the driver from WU; dxdiag claims WDDM 2.1 on my GeForce 945M. The previous driver from NVIDIA's site only advertised WDDM 2.0.

First time I've seen WU with a newer driver than the hardware OEM :p Same case with my Intel iGPU driver too.

He's likely using Windows 10 and talking about the Profile Inspector, which has an update for the crash issue. Plus, you're using an old version of Nvidia Inspector.

if using the TiTan X (Pascal) is 369.05 better to stay with? (as it was for this card) or is 369.09 better?

Installed with your installer, worked like a charm, thanks!

Driver seems stable too though only tested The Division and browsing/YT so far.

I've found 369.09 to be more stable than the .05 iteration.

Under .05, Overwatch and a few other games will drop out to a black screen infrequently.

In .09, I've yet to encounter this or any similar issues.

Thank you for making a modded installer so everyone else can try it out! :D
You need to re-host it somewhere else like mega or mediafire though. The download is limited to 128 Kbps and will take almost an hour! :bang:

Also, please don't use RAR - it's dead. You're much better off using 7zip to reduce file size. You should separate x86 and x64 as well to further reduce download size since 99.9% of users will only be needing x64.

If this driver has the DPC latency fix (which greatly improved my Kepler and Maxwell cards's DPC latency spikes) then I will temporarily rehost if you don't want to so it's easier for everyone to download. (You could even make a torrent).
