they are not
Win7/Vista x86 English
Win7/Vista x64 English
Perhaps I should have added 'so far...'
Yes, that's quite informative... low details vs high details performance.
any word if this works such wonders for gtx2xx cards on witcher2?
Finally something new, i got tired of 270.xx and all that "placebo" wiseguy remarks.. :infinity:
sounds good but why extra services running in the background.., why not release a separate update once every 2 weeks, it would be much better then to have another layer of possible conflicts...
look at the fps in the two screenshots, that would make the difference
Yeah who says that low settings on the new driver don't trigger the same problem
172mb, wow. I remember the days when it was around 15mb.
also some new scaling fixes, apparently..
Yep as they said they completely revised the scaling
here is the International XP driver for those interested http://de.download.nvidia.com/Windows/275.27/275.27-desktop-winxp-32bit-international-beta.exe
I really find it hard to believe that such a massive improvement comes from a single driver. Probably on the first pic (with low details and low fps) game triggered some bug or some sort (or driver used was really BAD for this game).
Don't get me wrong, I love TW2 and I want to see it run at constant 60 FPS too, but it's hard to believe such uber change in performance is due only to driver optimization for this certain game.
Not sure what this is intended to demonstrate. Same settings/different driver revisions i could understand....
Not so impossbile if they made it behave better multithreading wise but they claim themselve 12% 12 to 60 fps is a little more isn't it only 1 frame and afterburner/rivatuner fps result for that small part isn't really a scientific test @ all also
heh, yea i miss those days too lol.
downloading now. will report back after testing.
Hehe yeah but we forget that HDD sizes were minute compared to now too. Still i'd really love it if you could selectively download components, remove 3D, remove Physx, remove HD Audio then just download the components you want.
Ok. All max, ubersampling off, and same settings.
270.61 WHQL: (11.8 fps)
275.27 beta: (47.3 fps)
Images are blocked at work here for some reason - can someone please post what the framerates are?
low settings are getting 12.6fps, high settings 60.1fps.
That's impresssive - thanks!
Now that's... another thing. And also darn impressive! Almost too good to be true.
