Great drivers for my 980 GTX in Battlefield 2042, next up the RTX 2070 super

 

Had dwm.exe GPU at 100% aswell. Disable HAGS in Windows setting and reboot. Worked for me

Any reason why all drivers for 4090 have defaulted to line based interrupt instead of MSI mode ? The card supports it. What's even weirder is the audio device defaults to MSI.

 

Drivers working nicely played BF2042 for a bit feels the same as the 522.25.
Will play a few more games to see but will keep for now.

 

Unable to replicate the issue, and I've run the 1 minute test a couple times in a row ...
I'm on Windows 11 with an RTX 3060 LHR 12G.

 

No idea if related to the GPU usage reporting issue, but with HAGS enabled, frame time variance in Dying Light 2 gets worse.

This is different to the Vulkan frame time variance issue mentioned previously, as that was unaffected by HAGS.

 

The client was just recently updated to 1.7.2, and remember, we're talking about TechLand's script-kiddies here.

I tested on 2 different systems with different generations of Nvidia cards and did not get this error.

 

Game runs fine without HAGS (and not so bad with it on eiher, but still worse). I did those tests a few minutes ago with a few minutes between screenshots.
If the game doesn't run fine, your PC or drivers are crap. Simple as that.

 

so is this driver a must get or skip? im on 526.61 on a rtx 3060.

 

I've been wondering that myself, although the audio device on my card (Asus
RTX 4090 TUF) also defaults to line based. My 3090 (Strix) defaulted to MSI mode for the GPU only. I'm not sure what determines whether MSI mode is used or not, the driver, VBIOS, or Windows itself, I have the feeling it might be the latter.

Well I did tested on 3 different system with 4 cards in total. Then one of my friend did it aswell and he got it.
Make sure you do the VRAM test on the latest OCCT version with 95% of memory.
Just do few 1 minute runs, and check system category on event viewer

 

Seems a good driver to me. Played many new AAA games just fine no issues. Performance is good here @240hz 1440p. I lock most games down now though to 120hz/fps because i prefer a cooler quieter system these days and it does use a lot less power that way.

 

Until they fix DWM Hags issue I don't see the point in updating, this should be priority numero uno!

 

Are you saying the previous driver didn't have this issue?

Yes sometimes it happens, but you can manage it in audio in audio settings tough

 

3060 works better here.....
