I spoke too soon. One reboot later and I'm back to 3D clock speed on the desktop.

Edit. Tried everything. Clock speeds remained stuck at high speed and high power on the desktop. Jumped back forth... anything older and normal low 2D desktop speeds. Tested and tested. Swapped back and forth 522.25 again with DDU... same thing.. Strange.... Asus 2070/OC/Dual if it matters. And yes I checked for miners and all the usual suspects.

 

just wait until nvidia release new drivers for it. must be the SLI profile fix that you downloaded to fix the UI.

The high gpu usage reported in task is from windows hardware acceleration [HAGS] just go into display settings if you're so worried & turn it off.

 

I don't use HAGS anyway, very few games benefit from that and is not a lot either, the rest of games don't respond well to it so I just keep it off.

 

HAGS, and to a lesser extent ReBar really are not worth turning on for nvidia cards. All you're doing is adding potential instability and stuttering for little or no gain, or negative performance.

Turn that stuff off. You aren't going to miss the 5 fps you might be gaining in a couple games.

 

Absolutely no stuttering or instability, only gains and frametime consistency with a 3080 12gb on Win 11 22h2 and Rebar/HAGS both enabled. Stop spreading bs and address your setups instability.

 

From the same guy that said he has "no UE4 games stutter" and couldn't prove a single thing. Lol.

No I didn't, I simply stated that people will not believe that other setups have no issues when their setup does. It's a pride thing, I get it. I left the discussion because I had nothing to add other than what I had already stated, I have no issues with UE4 games on my setup. I also tend to stay away from close-minded, technically illiterate individuals. Speaking of which, back on ignore for you sugar.

On topic, this driver continues to impress and I'm pleased to report that UE4 games are working beautifully. As always

 

It is not a pride thing. It is about people like you being laughably oblivious and claiming others just cant setup their pc properly. You will even argue about verified reproducible known issues which makes you look foolish. FFS even Epic are well aware of the issues of their own engine so stop making a fool of yourself pretending your magical pc skills avoid all of it. You are type that said Batman Arkham Knight ran just fine at launch and that others should blame their pc.

 

For those who have RTX 4090.

Please tell me what shows Nvidia control panel/System information Direct3D feature level? It is still 12_1 or already 12_2 or something?

 

Does it matter? DX API reports 12_2 for all RTX cards in Win11 since launch.

Driver 516.94 compared to 522.25 gave about 2 to 3 fps on average bump
Asus Tuff 3080ti
AMD 5800x
Dx12 1440p medium to high settings

 

No issues or performance loss
