Driver benchmarks faster than previous 516.xx drivers and no issues so far.
Keepers for me.
With the GPU connected to an HDMI 2.1 audio/video receiver, audio
may drop out when playing back Dolby Atmos.
These made the light in my oven flicker, rolling back to 512.95.
What about this?
- [Forza Horizon 5] Rainbow like artifacts in game after driver update."
Or is it a temporary thing until reboot?
Played FH5 today and everything is fine.
There's a 516.94 Studio Driver release too: https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/192969/en-us/
yeah undervolting is the way to go.
856mv at 1860mhz on a 3070, 125w on forza 5 instead of 215-225.
next gen doesn't scare me so much thanks to it. at worst with an undervolt it will be like my stock TDP
we all know that both AMD and Nvidia overvolt their cards for "stability" (actually probably planned obsolescence and deals with PSU vendors)
we all remember the HD 7000, R9 Fury, Vega series and their notoriously bad overvolting.. it's been like this for a while
Is the HDMI 2.1 dropout issue corrected? Nope.
I don't bother with undervolting my 3090 as just running the card in Balanced mode means it uses way less watts.
When i watch the cards behaviour in this mode with GPU-Z it runs between 1200 - 1755mhz in games and is up and down as it needs fps.
Compared to running the card in Max performance mode where it runs at solid 1755mhz, well as you can imagine this effects both wattage and temps.
Looks like about 100watts less AVG and 6C cooler for only a small drop in frames.
So a work around I figured out for this, and it works for my brother as well - is to change the output dynamic range to limited then back to full in NVCP - then the HDR is captured correctly with Shadowplay.
i came here just to say that, this driver is super smooth on my rtx 2060 aoc 24g2 g sync enabled and its doing its thing.
not sure what was wrong old drivers.
this driver version is a keeper
timespy graphic score droped for about 300 points with this driver compared with 512.95
Performance down , this driver is made for procreating cartoon graphic games crap
So it's a keeper for you, then?
Nah, he's probably rolling back to 512.95 also.
I am happy with these, no problems, running nice and smooth in Vanguard
Benchmark the same as the 516.79 this driver is an updated 516.79 with the same audio drivers ,no issues here keepers ,Sure....
Affirmative. Not a big deal, but I see the same drop.
Ovens require the heat of AMD products, should switch.
You probably mean the heat of RTX 3090 Ti with power up to 480W
