NVIDIA GeForce 516.40 WHQL driver download & Discussion

Driver works fine for me. Playing Monster Hunter Rise, Modern Warfare 2019 and Elden Ring no problem.

 

Excellent drivers, performance looks great and all fully stable and working fine

I know right!! everything is awful nowadays, switching to amd's adrenaline drivers was the best decision i ever made!1!

 

Probably not. But it is the first driver in one year of 3060 usage that has forced me to downgrade due to driver crashes. It apparently crashed Tiny Tina Wonderlands for somebody else I was playing with, so it's annoying enough.

That's not me but I am facing same problem. I go by same name on reddit as here.

I have my Gigabyte M28U 4K 144Hz monitor hooked up with RTX 3070 via HDMI 2.1 port. I have Intel NUC8i3BEH connected to same monitor via Display Port cable. Whenever, I switch to NUC's DP via monitor input and switch back to 3070's HDMI input, monitor fails to get HDMI signal. This is Windows 22H2 build 22621 and Nvidia problem. I reverted to 22H1 build 22000.776 to fix this input switching issue but eventually I will have to upgrade to 22621 build anyway.

 

Didn't run into any CTD but had Destiny 2 freezing when moving scenery, so rolled back to 516.25 too.

 

Well, overall, there's a first-time for everything, I guess.

RDR2 flickering, etc. with this new branch.

Oh well.

 

+1 I would like this too. But UI updates and Nvidia don't work in the same sentence lol.

I have NVCP as a shortcut on my desktop. Find it in the Apps section of the start menu, right click and you can create a shortcut. I did likewise with the Command Prompt, saves faffing around with search boxes when you can always have it to hand, you can set it to run as admin too (Command Prompt that is).

 

Nah. Might as well return to Win10.

 

12th gen I9 so nah I stay on windows 11

 

you can set the command prompt to show in the start + right click menu as the default instead of terminal

 

Reading this thread, I have concerns. Is this driver safe to install or should I wait until the next driver?
